The group you’ll be a part of This position is part of the SET(Supplier Engineering & Technology) . In this position, you, as a supplier engineer for play a vital role with the remote factory suppliers. You will have the opportunity to work across organization functions to resolve technical, quality and production challenges, as well as opportunity to develop excellence in product design and manufacturing at RF supply chain. Candidate should be a result-driven, self-starter possessing strong interpersonal skills with a strong focus on supporting customers. The impact you’ll make As a Supplier Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at Lam, you'll make an impact in ensuring suppliers manufacturing processes and products meet quality standards by designing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance programs. You design methods for inspecting, testing, and evaluating production processes and finished products onsite at our global suppliers’ locations. By analyzing production data, you identify trends and partner with the supplier to resolve technical, quality and production challenges. What you’ll do Remote Factory Supplier Engineer for AC/DC Power Boxes Job Details: Work with Lam Product Group Engineering organizations in development and release of new power box products to remote factory suppliers Coordinate and support investigation of key quality defects of components from the customers and/or field service team to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement Drive the improvement of the remote factory suppliers’ quality and manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost, and on-time-delivery Act as liaison / technical lead for cross functional projects to include Build Verify and Production Readiness Review Audit and document supply base performance on critical process of records and overall quality management systems Collaborate on the continuous development of supply base through close teamwork with product management, global product group, and supplier business managers Leads, and is personally accountable for, high profile project timelines and milestones. Continuously working on process improvement and developing Best Known Methods Provide technical support in Build, Test and FQA to new Remote Factory (RF) suppliers in deposition and etch product deployment and transition Perform Standardized Supplier Quality Audits and administer Supplier Quality Scorecard for existing suppliers to promote continuous improvement. Drive Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis on QDRs and Escalations Who we’re looking for Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from accredited University a must Creative thinking and strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities, including experience in the areas of mechanical and electrical engineering Solid understanding of electro mechanical assemblies, thermodynamics, mass/momentum/heat transfer Solid understanding of statistical process control In-depth understanding of equipment and component manufacturing processes Experience in supplier process development & quality management Understanding of failure analysis and problem solving Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance Ability to travel up to 25% (International & domestic travelling) Preferred qualifications Electro-Mechanical system design and manufacturing Systems engineering and integration and semiconductor fab knowledge Solid understanding of various problem solving methodologies to include 8-D/5 why Project Management / Team Lead experience At least 5 years of working in the Semiconductor Equipment Industry Experience with working with global suppliers Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills Attentions to details Our commitment We believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
