What the opportunity looks like: The Supply and Network Planner is responsible for leading the 4 week plus supply planning horizon, with primary focus on Finished Goods availability, inventory performance and clear, action-led planning decisions. The role works closely with Demand, Customer Operations, NPI and wider Supply Chain teams to protect stock availability, make inventory risks visible and ensure production plans are aligned to business priorities. The role leads inventory risk analysis, Supply Review preparation, agency planning management and SO99 planning governance, ensuring risks, constraints, planning parameters and recommendations are clearly understood and progressed through the appropriate action owners. The role also implements and leads improved planning processes and ways of working, including RIRO and Finished Goods status management, where these strengthen inventory control, availability and decision making. While Network Planning is not a core current responsibility, the role will lead the development of future network planning capability as business processes, systems and operating models mature. Inventory, Availability and Supply Planning Lead the 4 week plus supply planning horizon, balancing availability, production capacity, inventory targets and operational constraints. Lead Finished Goods inventory and availability planning, ensuring risks to service, stockholding, ageing stock and obsolescence are visible, understood and actioned. Translate demand, production and inventory data into clear planning recommendations for the SMS Planning Manager and Supply Review. Lead capacity analysis and provide recommendations on shifts, lines and pre-build requirements to protect OTIF and inventory targets. Partner with the Master Production Scheduler to ensure medium-term supply plans translate into executable schedules and maintained availability. Inventory Risk Analysis and Supply Review Own inventory risk analysis across Finished Goods, identifying potential availability, excess stock, ageing stock and obsolescence risks. Prepare accurate, insight-led Supply Review inputs focused on key risks, decisions and required actions. Lead scenario analysis covering demand changes, production constraints, resource availability and scheduling options. Escalate inventory and availability risks with clear recommendations, options and required decisions. Track actions from Supply Review and related planning forums to ensure risks are progressed and closed. Agency Planning Management Lead agency planning management, ensuring agency requirements are aligned to business requirements. Coordinate cross-functional inputs to confirm agency requirements, constraints, changes and risks. Maintain visibility of agency planning assumptions and decisions, including impacts on service, cost and operational execution. Escalate agency planning risks with clear recommendations, options and required decisions. Improve agency planning ways of working so the process is clear, repeatable and aligned with wider supply planning governance. Planning Governance, NPI, RIRO and Status Management Design, implement and embed improved ways of working for new NPI planning, RIRO and Finished Goods status management. Govern Finished Goods status visibility, ensuring blockers, risks and required actions are clear, current and owned by the right stakeholders. Lead cross-functional planning forums and working sessions where required to resolve new NPI, inventory and availability risks. Act as SO99 key user for supply planning, governing planning parameters, item attributes and system inputs so data is accurate, current and fit for planning decision making. Lead SO99 issue resolution and continuous improvement activity with Data, Supply Chain and operational stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement across planning processes, tools and reporting to improve service, inventory performance, waste reduction and decision quality. Future Network Planning Capability Lead the development of future network planning capability as business processes, systems and operating models mature. Identify opportunities to improve network planning visibility, governance and decision quality. Work with the SMS Planning Manager and relevant stakeholders to shape future network planning ownership, inputs and ways of working. Skills and experience that will help you be a success: For this role we're looking for: Educated to degree level in Business, Supply Chain or a related discipline, or qualified by relevant experience. Relevant professional experience in Supply Chain, preferably within FMCG or the drinks industry. Experience in S&OP or Integrated Business Planning is preferred. Understanding of production planning processes and operational constraints. Understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and their connection with the wider business, including Commercial and Finance. Understanding of business management systems and ERP; knowledge of Tropos or equivalent systems is beneficial. Knowledge of SO99 or equivalent planning systems, including planning parameter maintenance, item attribute governance and issue resolution. Advanced data analysis capability, with the ability to interrogate complex datasets, identify trends and risks, and turn insight into clear planning recommendations.
