ABOUT THE ROLE The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for executing procurement activities associated with assigned commodities, service agreements, or indirect spend categories. You will focus on purchase order execution, supplier coordination, delivery management, invoice resolution, and warranty administration to ensure materials and services are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations and project requirements. WHAT YOU'LL DO Execute purchase orders and releases under established contracts, ensuring compliance with approved sourcing strategies, budgets, and company policies. Manage supplier communications related to order status, production schedules, delivery commitments, shipment tracking, and issue resolution. Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations and proactively identify risks related to schedule, quality, cost, or delivery. Coordinate with project teams, operations, engineering, construction, and internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business requirements. Facilitate resolution of invoice discrepancies, receiving issues, payment disputes, and supplier administrative concerns. Administer warranty claims and corrective action activities by coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution. Maintain procurement records, supplier documentation, contract information, and purchasing data within ERP and procurement systems. Support supplier performance reviews through collection and analysis of delivery, quality, and service metrics. Assist with forecasting, inventory planning, and demand requirements to support project execution and operational needs. Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, reporting, supplier performance, and operational efficiency. Collaborate with individual department, as well as cross-functionally with other departments within the organization. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations management, business, engineering, construction management, or related field. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, contract administration, or related. Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to learn company-specific software programs, tools, processes, and machines. Skills/Attributes: Ability to coordinate deliveries, track order status, and resolve fulfillment issues to support business and project schedules. Ability to build productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders through timely communication and responsiveness. Ability to interpret contract terms, warranty provisions, and purchasing requirements to support procurement execution. Ability to identify and resolve procurement-related issues by evaluating information, coordinating stakeholders, and recommending solutions. Ability to analyze purchasing data, supplier information, and operational metrics to support informed decision-making. Self-motivated to work through complex problems and competing priorities, including a high level of detail and organization. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
