Supply Manager

The Supply Manager role will oversee the supply chain planning processes, ensuring seamless operations across all applicable Yum! Brands in BU Africa. The role will collaborate closely with various brand teams to align supply chain strategies and optimize resource allocation. Additionally, the role will lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance. Supply Chain Management expertise will be crucial and maintaining strong vendor relationships, improving and digitizing processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards The scope of this role includes the whole of BU Africa along with all applicable Yum! brands. The role will provide leadership of the supply chain and optimisation across Africa, the associated stock policy management and network capacity planning. Provide leadership on the planning of ingredients inventory flow in accordance with the demand forecast, budget constraints on 3PL commercial model as well as working capital targets. Ensure effective collaboration across SCM team, 3PL and Franchise partners to review supplier capacities and identify supply opportunity areas based on optimal cost to serve. Work with the 3PL to ensure high level of reliability at best cost to serve. Leads tactical & strategic supplier capacity planning and delivery to accommodate demand planning and sales forecasts. It is inclusive of inventory policy delivery, least cost sourcing, Capacity utilization strategy, future product growth & supplier compliance. Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of a supply contingency matrix to mitigate any inventory policy risks while ensuring optimal cost to serve. Develop a supply Chain Digitization strategy to enable end to end automation of S&OP and Planning process to ultimately drive efficiencies with the SC function. This role will be responsible for the seamless integration of all Yum! Brands within BU Africa in terms of Supply Chain Planning, inclusive of all S&OP processes. Development of high performance people capabilities within the Supply team for BU Africa. Communication Required Yum & Brand functional leaders (Finance / Marketing / Operations) Brand Global Leadership teams Regional GMs & Leadership teams Yum Global Supply Chain team Yum Regional Supply Chain Leadership & teams 3rd Party partners / consultants 10+ years’ experience in Senior supply chain roles, ideally within food industry or related field Experience in logistics / planning preferred but with end to end supply chain knowledge Strong leader with demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-wide strategic change Strong leadership skills; prepared to challenge status quo and drive change Demonstrated ability to manage teams on a multi country scale; inspiring & growing teams Excellent communication and partnership skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners across the global business Ability to gain buy-in & influence key stakeholders at all levels in a global organization Min 10 years’ experience in the Supply Chain Planning and Logistics Management
