Support & Intervention Consultant - Safeguarding

Do you want to make a difference to the standards of safeguarding in schools and are you an experienced safeguarding lead in a school or college? Then role of Safeguarding Consultant could be the job you are looking for. The Education Safeguarding Team are seeking a new Consultant to support the delivery of safeguarding reviews in schools and the development and delivery of high quality training, support and guidance for school leaders and DSL teams. This role is for 2 days a week, where one of those days must be a Thursday due to service requirements. As well as working with schools, an aspect of the role includes working with other agencies within the broader safeguarding system, and representing the view of Education within multiagency teams. This is an excellent career opportunity and will provide you with the chance to support practice in primary, secondary, special schools, post-16 colleges and independent schools, as well as develop and strengthen processes for multiagency working. An induction and training programme will be provided, but anyone considering this post should be confident in the delivery of training and secure in their understanding and experience of complex safeguarding issues in schools. Travel across the county will be required, as well as a willingness and availability to travel occasionally to schools elsewhere in the South East of England.
