Job Description The Operations Billing & Collections Analyst provides financial and administrative support to the Surety division. Under the direction of the Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the timely and accurate billing, reconciliation, and collection of premium receivables in accordance with established policies and procedures. The Analyst works closely with Operations, Underwriting, and Corporate Billing and Collections teams to resolve billing discrepancies, reconcile accounts, support cash application activities, and help reduce outstanding balances, while delivering a high level of service to internal and external customers. What you will do for C&F: Assist in the analysis, monitoring, and follow-up of outstanding premium receivables for the Surety book of business. Support the reconciliation of premium payments to help ensure accurate application of cash and reduce outstanding balances. Assist with the reconciliation of large agency accounts and coordinate with internal and external business partners to resolve discrepancies. Collaborate with Underwriting and Operations teams regarding past due premiums. Research and help resolve billing disputes, discrepancies, and payment application issues. Provide payment histories and other billing-related information in response to internal and external inquiries. Collaborate with Operations UA team to ensure premium transactions are accurately reflected in the billing system. Coordinate with Corporate Billing and Collections teams on cash application, correction of misapplied cash, transfers, and write-off of qualifying aged balances in accordance with established procedures. Maintain a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and customer service in all billing and collections activities. Escalate customer service concerns, unresolved issues, and material account matters to the Manager, as appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned. What you will bring to C&F: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience within a remittance, billing, or collections environment. Surety experience preferred. Minimum 1 year of general office work experience, with an emphasis on operations, finance or accounting related functions. Experience researching, analyzing, and resolving account discrepancies and billing issues. Understanding of remittance and cash application processes. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proven data analysis skills and strong attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with Operations, Underwriting, and Corporate Remittance teams. Strong customer service orientation. Self-starter with the ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $37,900.00 to a maximum of $71,200.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role.
