Role Overview The Sustainability Analyst supports Circana’s sustainability reporting and disclosure activities by collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data across the organization. This role helps ensure the accuracy, completeness, and audit-readiness of sustainability information used in external reporting, ESG questionnaires, customer due diligence requests, and regulatory disclosures. Responsibilities include coordinating data collection with stakeholders across the business, supporting greenhouse gas emissions reporting, maintaining documentation and evidence repositories, preparing responses to ESG questionnaires and assessments such as EcoVadis and CDP, and contributing to the development of Circana’s annual Corporate Sustainability Report. This hands-on role requires practical experience with sustainability reporting, ESG ratings and assessments, greenhouse gas accounting, sustainability data management, and emerging regulatory requirements within a global organization. The person in this position will manage recurring reporting activities while helping strengthen and mature Circana’s sustainability program. Reporting to the Global Ethics & Compliance Program Manager, this role will collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, Procurement, Facilities, Human Resources, Finance, and other stakeholders across the company. Job Responsibilities Sustainability Program Management Support the collection, validation, documentation, and audit-readiness of sustainability data, including data used for Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions reporting. Serve as the primary point of contact for Circana’s third-party emissions-calculation vendor, coordinating data requests, timelines, deliverables, and follow-up. Support the preparation of Circana’s annual Corporate Sustainability Report. Coordinate data requests, documentation, and evidence gathering from internal stakeholders. Prepare responses to ESG ratings, rankings, customer questionnaires, and regulatory disclosures, including EcoVadis, CDP, ESG due diligence requests, and other sustainability reporting frameworks. Maintain organized and audit-ready documentation and evidence repositories used for ESG reporting and assessments. Proactively identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve the efficiency and accuracy of recurring reporting processes. Coordinate with internal partners to support the continued development of Circana’s third-party risk management program, including ESG due diligence. Monitor developments and changes to relevant sustainability reporting requirements and guidance, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and California climate disclosure requirements, and recommend updates applicable to the Sustainability Program. Serve as a sustainability subject-matter resource for commercial teams responding to ESG questions, customer questionnaires, and due diligence requests. Requirements 2–5 years of hands-on experience in corporate sustainability, ESG reporting, greenhouse gas accounting, sustainability consulting, or a closely related field. Experience working with large datasets in Excel. Experience supporting ESG questionnaires, sustainability disclosures, and assessments such as CDP and EcoVadis, with familiarity with GRI, CSRD, or similar reporting frameworks. Bachelor's Degree in related field. Working knowledge of Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions and experience supporting related reporting activities. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills, with the ability to take ownership of data and reporting processes. Ability to manage repeatable processes with a high level of accuracy, accountability, and transparency. Comfortable using AI-enabled tools and automation technologies to streamline routine tasks, improve reporting efficiency, and enhance data quality while maintaining appropriate controls and oversight. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $100,000 USD. This role is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
