Is this job info correct?

Posted Friday, August 28, 2026 at 5:00 AM Systems Administrator Department: Technology Location: Remote FLSA Status: Exempt People Leader: No Travel: Up to 10% Summary Company Summary Accuity partners with hospitals and health systems through a technology-enabled, physician-led model that improves clinical documentation integrity, coding accuracy, reimbursement optimization, and quality outcomes. Job Summary The Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation and support of Accuity’s enterprise IT environment. Reporting to the Manager, IT Operations, this role is the primary hands-on owner of employee technology support, account and access administration, endpoint management, and routine systems maintenance for a fully remote workforce. This role works alongside Accuity’s managed service provider as the internal point of contact who triages incoming issues, routes and escalates work appropriately, and follows provider work through to resolution rather than duplicating it. It is the first line of support for employees and the day-to-day execution layer beneath the Manager, IT Operations. Because Accuity operates in a HIPAA and HITRUST regulated environment, the Systems Administrator works within defined security and compliance controls at all times, particularly around identity, access, endpoint configuration, and evidence of the work performed. Responsibilities End User Support and Service Delivery • Serve as the primary internal point of contact for employee technology support, including intake, triage, prioritization, and resolution or escalation. • Resolve common issues such as password resets, multifactor authentication enrollment and recovery, account lockouts, mailbox and file access, connectivity, and software installation. • Meet defined response and resolution expectations, and keep employees informed of status through to closure. • Document issues, actions taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system so history is complete, searchable, and reportable. • Identify recurring issues and recommend permanent fixes, automation, or documentation rather than repeating manual remediation. • Build and maintain self-service guidance and end user documentation for common tasks. Identity, Access, and Account Administration • Administer user accounts, groups, and licenses in Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365, including creation, modification, and disablement. • Execute employee onboarding and offboarding, including timely provisioning of accounts, licenses, groups, and equipment, and complete, verified deprovisioning on departure. • Process access requests against approved role-based entitlements and least privilege, escalating anything outside standard entitlement to the Manager, IT Operations. • Support multifactor authentication, conditional access, and password policy administration. • Maintain accurate access records and produce evidence for periodic access reviews and audits. Endpoint, Device, and Asset Management • Administer endpoints through Microsoft Intune, including enrollment, configuration baselines, compliance policy, patch deployment, and remote remediation. • Manage the device lifecycle, including procurement support, configuration, shipment to remote employees, return, secure wipe, and disposal. • Maintain accurate IT asset and software license inventory, including assignment, status, and periodic reconciliation. • Ensure operating system, security agent, and application updates are applied on schedule and verified as applied. • Support secure remote access and virtual desktop configuration for employees working in client environments. Systems Operations and Maintenance • Perform routine administration and monitoring of Microsoft 365 services, Azure tenant services, file and collaboration platforms, and related enterprise systems. • Execute scheduled maintenance, backups, restores, and recovery testing according to documented procedures. • Monitor system health and alerts, respond within defined thresholds, and escalate promptly when an issue exceeds the scope of the role. • Support telephony, conferencing, and collaboration tooling used across the organization. • Follow change management procedures for production systems, including documentation, approval, and rollback planning. • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and an after-hours or on-call rotation as required to maintain service availability. Service Provider and Vendor Coordination • Serve as the day-to-day internal coordinator with Accuity’s managed service provider, triaging what is handled internally versus routed to the provider. • Track provider tickets through to resolution, verify the quality of work delivered, and escalate delays or repeat issues to the Manager, IT Operations. • Support vendor coordination for hardware, software, licensing, warranty, and support cases. • Maintain accurate records of vendor interactions, entitlements, and open issues. Security and Compliance Support • Operate within Accuity’s security controls at all times, including least privilege, endpoint protection, application control, data loss prevention, and monitoring tooling. • Support HIPAA and HITRUST control operation by executing assigned procedures consistently and producing accurate, timely evidence of the work performed. • Report suspected security incidents, phishing, and policy violations immediately per established procedure, and assist with containment and documentation. • Support security awareness activities, including phishing simulation follow-up and workforce training administration. • Handle protected health information and other sensitive data strictly in accordance with policy. Documentation and Continuous Improvement • Create and maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures, and configuration documentation for the systems and processes supported. • Keep documentation current as environments, tools, and procedures change. • Recommend and implement improvements to support processes, tooling, and automation that reduce manual effort. • Track and report service metrics reflecting responsiveness, resolution quality, and employee satisfaction. Other Duties as Assigned • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support enterprise IT, technology, and organizational goals. Qualifications Education and Credentials • Associate or bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related technical field preferred. • Equivalent professional experience, technical training, or a combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. • Relevant certifications in Microsoft 365, Azure, endpoint administration, or identity administration preferred. Experience • 3+ years of hands-on systems administration, IT support, or service desk experience in a business environment. • Demonstrated experience administering Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID, including account, group, and license administration. • Experience with endpoint management, preferably Microsoft Intune, including enrollment, configuration policy, and patching. • Experience supporting a fully remote or geographically distributed workforce. • Experience working alongside a managed service provider or outsourced support partner. • Experience in a healthcare or other regulated environment handling protected health information preferred. • Familiarity with HIPAA, HITRUST, or comparable control frameworks preferred. Core Competencies • Service Orientation: Treats employee support as the product, communicates clearly, and leaves people better able to do their work. • Ownership and Follow-Through: Carries issues to resolution, including those handed to a vendor, rather than considering the handoff the finish line. • Triage and Prioritization: Judges urgency and impact accurately, works the right item first, and escalates early when something exceeds scope. • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnoses issues methodically across identity, endpoint, network, and application layers, and fixes root cause where possible. • Security Awareness: Recognizes that routine administrative actions carry real security consequences and follows controls without needing reminders. • Discretion: Handles protected health information, credentials, and personnel-related access with consistent care and confidentiality. • Documentation Discipline: Records what was done and why, and maintains procedures others can follow without asking. • Communication: Explains technical issues and next steps clearly to non-technical colleagues, in writing and verbally. • Continuous Improvement: Notices repetition and converts it into a fix, a script, or a documented procedure. • Adaptability: Adjusts to new tools, changing priorities, and evolving security requirements without losing reliability. • Remote-Work Effectiveness: Communicates proactively, stays responsive, documents decisions, and maintains visibility in a fully remote organization. Additional Requirements 1) Physical Requirements: The requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations. Unless otherwise indicated, Accuity positions require interaction with people and technology while either sitting or standing. Employees must be able to communicate via phone, email, etc. and sit for extended periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodations. Physical effort and exposure to physical risk are limited to that of an office role / environment. 2) Position and Employment Statement: While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the job requirements, management reserves the right to modify, add or remove duties from a job and to assign other duties as necessary and at any time.
