As a Systems Design Manager, you'll play a key role in helping high-performing engineering teams deliver work that makes a lasting impact. The Opportunity As a Systems Design Manager, you'll lead a portfolio of systems engineering activities supporting the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project. You'll connect project goals with engineering delivery, leading group leaders and their teams to help make sure key milestones, budgets and technical commitments are delivered safely and successfully. You’ll join us on a salary starting of £85,000 per annum. This is a hybrid role based from our #Bristol office at Aztec West, with flexibility to work from home alongside spending two days per week on site, moving to three days per week in the future. Occasional travel to France may be required to support project collaboration and delivery. This is a leadership opportunity with real influence. You'll help shape delivery schedules, support the development of engineering leaders and drive performance across key project milestones. Working across systems, process, chemical and I&C engineering disciplines, you'll help deliver one of the UK's most important infrastructure projects and support EDF's journey towards An Electric Britain . Who You Are We're looking for a Systems Design Manager with strong engineering knowledge and proven leadership experience. You'll be comfortable leading leaders, managing complex engineering programmes and working across multiple technical interfaces in a large-scale nuclear environment. To be shortlisted, you'll need: An engineering degree or equivalent qualification Proven experience in systems engineering or relevant experience on an EPR project Experience leading engineering managers, group leaders or multidisciplinary engineering teams Significant experience within the nuclear industry Experience managing project delivery, schedules, budgets and resources across complex engineering programmes Knowledge of EPR system design, I&C systems and nuclear safety requirements Experience managing technical, contractual and cross-functional project interfaces A track record of delivering against deadlines, KPIs and programme milestones To be appointed to this role, you'll need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will ordinarily require you to have been a UK resident for at least three of the past five years. What You'll Be Doing Leading group leaders and engineering teams to deliver systems engineering activities across the Hinkley Point C programme Building and managing delivery schedules to achieve key milestones and project objectives Managing budgets, resource planning, forecasting and workload allocation across your area of responsibility Providing technical leadership across systems, process, chemical and I&C engineering disciplines while managing project risks and interfaces Driving team performance, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement across engineering delivery Supporting and developing engineering leaders to help teams perform at their best Pay, Benefits and Culture Alongside a salary starting from £85,000 per annum , you'll have the potential to earn an annual bonus and benefit from a market-leading pension scheme.
