Primary Responsibility: The Systems Engineer is primarily accountable for troubleshooting and managing emergency client issues that require advanced technical knowledge in the Service Desk. This role is the top tier of support for all client escalation points, contributes to the learning and development of all Desktop staff. This role may assist in the design and completion of both new and existing client projects. Additional Responsibilities: Analyzing client environments and making technical and business recommendations based on their aging hardware and opportunities from 3 rd part services. Accountable for responding to and resolving issues escalated from Desktop Support. Administering, Installing, and Configuring Windows Server. Managing Exchange and 365 environments. Managing Microsoft cloud services (Azure, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams). Managing VMware and Hyper-V environments. Prompt response and resolution of issues for client Executives. Coordinating and resolving top tier issues with vendors: Dealer Management Systems (DMS), ISP Vendors, Proprietary software and PCI compliance. Providing updated action plans on ticket resolutions to Account Managers that meet client expectations and our internal goals. Manage security events reported from our SOC. Perform client migrations for specific technologies or hardware. Manage key client relationships and become a point of contact for the IT admins at those clients. Managing Enterprise AI solutions for end users and IT admins. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement the following technologies Active Directory Topology Replication Tombstoning Auditing DNS Internal DNS zones/records External DNS zones/records Root hints DNS forwarders metadata cleanup DHCP Managing scopes and exclusions Configure conflict detections move devices to new VLAN/scope Configure failover Configure IP helper Creating, modifying, and troubleshooting DFS and UNC file shares Group Policy Implementing and troubleshooting Folder Redirection/OneDrive Advanced troubleshooting of group policies Migrating GPO from another server Installing managing and configuring printers on servers and through cloud print management Microsoft Exchange/Microsoft 365 Managing mailboxes and groups Managing and troubleshooting internal and external mail flow Implementation and troubleshooting of firewall rules Manage and troubleshoot Barracuda email spam filter Install and configure SSL cert Manage send and receive connectors Manage email address policies Exchange reporting through PowerShell and 365 GUI Configure and troubleshoot email encryption Manage and migrate public folders Troubleshoot virtual directories Manage SharePoint file stores Manage Cloud PC’s for Windows 365 Cloud PC and AVD Manage OneDrive synchronization and automatic deployment Cisco and Meraki Networking Interpret Network maps and monitors in PRTG Troubleshoot performance issues Troubleshoot a device outage Automation/reporting PowerShell Bat files Power BI Power Automate VMware/Hyper-V Manage and configure datastore space Configure new or migrate existing VM Manage and configure virtual guests Troubleshoot hardware performance Manage PC’s, Servers including the use of automation through our RMM tool Kaseya Manage and troubleshoot DNS based web filtering solution General Desktop troubleshooting and support Certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified Microsoft Azure Certified CISSP
