Job Description: Safety-Critical Control Systems Engineer Join our innovative team to develop and integrate safety-critical control systems for unmanned and optionally manned ground vehicles. Contribute to systems engineering activities, and support the development of embedded controls software, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful vehicle program execution. Responsibilities Develop and integrate safety-critical control systems for unmanned and optionally manned ground vehicles. Support systems engineering activities, including requirements development, system architecture, SysML modeling, and software integration. Develop, test, and troubleshoot embedded controls software using C/C++, Simulink, and vehicle communication networks such as CAN Bus and Ethernet. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support prototype and production vehicle programs, including validation, supplier testing, and customer support. Essential Skills Proficiency in systems engineering, C/C++, Simulink, and electric vehicle technologies. Experience with Systems Engineering processes and SysML tools (Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw). Vehicle control system development experience (on-road, off-highway, or defense vehicles). Safety-critical software/systems development experience (MIL-STD-882E, IEC, UL 4600). Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science. 3+ years of related systems, controls, software, or vehicle engineering experience. Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Warren, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
