We're looking for a Talent Partner to join our People team and play a key role in attracting, hiring and developing the talent that powers our organisation. This is a varied and influential role where you'll partner with hiring managers and People colleagues to deliver exceptional recruitment experiences, enable internal career opportunities and help build future talent pipelines across the business. You'll take ownership of a portfolio of vacancies from briefing through to offer, using a skills-led approach to identify and engage talent. Alongside recruitment delivery, you'll help colleagues progress their careers through internal mobility initiatives and lead the attraction and hiring activity for our Graduate, Apprenticeship and Intern & Entry Careers (GAIC) programmes. We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, improving processes and creating positive experiences for candidates and hiring managers alike. Recruitment & Hiring Manage end-to-end recruitment activity across assigned business areas, from vacancy briefing through to offer stage. Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and develop effective hiring strategies. Provide practical guidance on sourcing, assessment and selection approaches. Build talent pipelines through direct sourcing, advertising, LinkedIn, job boards and agency partnerships. Ensure candidates receive a professional, inclusive and engaging experience throughout the hiring journey. Maintain accurate recruitment data, applicant tracking systems and reporting. Internal Talent Mobility Support colleagues and leaders in identifying internal career opportunities and development pathways. Facilitate skills-based talent matching and internal movement across the business. Help managers identify internal talent and potential succession options. Promote transparent and consistent internal hiring practices. Early Careers & GAIC Programme Lead recruitment activity for graduate, apprenticeship, internship and entry-level programmes. Coordinate attraction campaigns, assessment processes and stakeholder engagement. Support the ongoing development and administration of early careers initiatives. Help build sustainable talent pipelines for the future. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve hiring processes, systems and candidate experience. Contribute to enhancements across recruitment technology, workflows and reporting. Use data, feedback and insights to drive informed improvements and better outcomes. Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes across multiple vacancies and stakeholder groups. Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Experience advising hiring managers on sourcing, selection and hiring best practice. Knowledge of candidate attraction strategies, sourcing tools and talent market trends. Experience using recruitment systems and applicant tracking platforms. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Excellent communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders at different levels. A data-driven approach, using insight and evidence to support decision making. Experience supporting internal talent mobility, succession planning or career development initiatives would be advantageous. Experience working with graduate, apprenticeship, intern or early careers programmes would be beneficial. What success looks like In this role, you'll make a measurable impact by: Delivering high-quality recruitment outcomes and positive candidate experiences. Building strong partnerships with hiring managers and People colleagues. Supporting greater internal mobility and career progression opportunities. Successfully delivering early careers hiring programmes. Maintaining high standards of governance, compliance and data quality. Driving practical improvements that increase efficiency, visibility and consistency across talent processes. You'll work with a supportive People team, influence hiring decisions, contribute to future talent strategies and help create pathways for colleagues to build rewarding careers at DC Thomson.
