Talent Partner

Select Talent Group (STG)

🇬🇧United Kingdom🏢Hybrid💰£30.0K–£35.0K📁People & Talent
Is this job info correct?

Talent Partner

  • £30,000–£35,000 basic salary + quarterly performance bonus
  • Newcastle / Durham

Initially remote, with regular travel to our office and client sites across the North East, from Newcastle to North Yorkshire.

The Opportunity

Following several new client wins, we’re looking for a Talent Partner to join our growing team.

This is a delivery-focused role supporting a varied portfolio of permanent recruitment, executive search and embedded talent partnerships across manufacturing, engineering and industrial sectors.

You’ll work closely with the Founder, candidates, hiring managers and client stakeholders. Your focus will be on identifying and engaging exceptional talent, managing recruitment processes and ensuring every assignment is delivered to a high standard.

There are no cold-calling or new-business sales targets. However, you’ll be encouraged to build strong client relationships, develop your commercial understanding and spot opportunities where Select Talent Group could provide further support.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Source and engage candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, advertising, referrals and market research.
  • Conduct candidate screening and competency-based interviews.
  • Manage recruitment processes from initial brief through to offer and onboarding.
  • Support retained search, senior appointments and confidential projects.
  • Develop talent maps and provide market, competitor and salary intelligence.
  • Write compelling job advertisements, outreach campaigns and candidate communications.
  • Prepare high-quality candidate profiles, shortlists and client updates.
  • Maintain regular communication with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Coordinate interviews, feedback, offers, references and notice periods.
  • Support embedded talent partnerships remotely and on client sites.
  • Build a strong understanding of our clients, their cultures, industries and talent markets.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate and client experience throughout every process.

No two days will be the same.

One week, you could be sourcing for a Managing Director search, supporting multiple operational vacancies for an embedded client, mapping a specialist engineering market and helping prepare a salary benchmark for a manufacturing business.

About You

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous recruitment agency, resourcing or in-house talent acquisition experience.
  • Experience sourcing and engaging passive candidates.
  • The ability to manage vacancies from initial brief through to offer.
  • Strong candidate interviewing and assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • A proactive, curious and research-led approach.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage several assignments and priorities simultaneously.
  • Confidence communicating with candidates and stakeholders at different levels.
  • A genuine interest in manufacturing, engineering and the businesses we support.
  • A desire to develop into a broader Talent Partner role, with exposure to embedded recruitment, search, market intelligence and client advisory work.
