Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join a growing public accounting firm serving privately held businesses, business owners, executives, and high-net-worth individuals. This opportunity is ideal for a tax professional with 3–5 years of public accounting experience and a strong background in business and individual taxation. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing tax engagements independently, communicating directly with clients, and collaborating with partners and team members in a remote environment. This role offers significant flexibility while providing exposure to complex tax engagements, planning opportunities, and long-term client relationships. Highly experienced candidates may qualify for a fully remote arrangement , while candidates who would benefit from additional training and mentorship should be available for occasional travel to the Allentown, Pennsylvania office. Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and other business entities. Prepare complex individual income tax returns for business owners, executives, and high-net-worth individuals. Conduct tax research and assist with year-round tax planning strategies. Communicate directly with clients through phone, video meetings, and email to gather information, answer questions, and provide tax guidance. Collaborate with partners on tax planning, advisory, and consulting engagements. Identify potential tax-saving opportunities and provide practical recommendations based on client circumstances. Ensure accurate and timely compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements. Assist with special tax projects, consulting engagements, and other advisory initiatives. Manage multiple client engagements, priorities, and deadlines in a remote work environment. Stay current on changes to tax laws, regulations, and relevant industry developments. Qualifications 3–5 years of public accounting experience with a primary focus on tax. Hands-on experience preparing business entity tax returns, including corporations, S corporations, and partnerships. Experience preparing complex individual income tax returns. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and compliance requirements. Ability to independently manage tax engagements, priorities, and deadlines. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team. CPA license preferred but not required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred. Must reside within the Eastern or Central Time Zone . Candidates with extensive experience may work fully remotely; candidates requiring additional training or development should be available for occasional travel to the Allentown, Pennsylvania office .
