The role

We are hiring a driven and ambitious Tech Lead Forward Deployed Engineer with deep Databricks experience to lead delivery for strategic client projects. You'll work directly with the founders and take end-to-end ownership of high-impact programs.

You will:

• Build end-to-end workflows from data integration to decision tools using Databricks (Unity Catalog, Lakeflow pipelines, Delta lakehouse, and the semantic layer on top)
• Work directly with client stakeholders of all levels (CxOs, operations leads, data teams) to uncover opportunities and deliver business value
• Own the technical architecture of client programs, from first workshop to production and handover
• Run the delivery rhythm: sprints, demos, UAT with named user groups, steering committees. You own dates, and you hit them
• Lead engineering teams on high-visibility projects, from beginning to end
• Shape our engineering culture, delivery model, and our growing Databricks practice

You bring

• Extensive hands-on Databricks experience: Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark / PySpark, Lakeflow pipelines and jobs, Databricks SQL. Databricks Apps, Asset Bundles and Mosaic AI are a plus
• Strong software engineering background (Python, Spark, TypeScript)
• Deep understanding of data modelling, ontologies, and operational workflows
• Proven technical leadership: you have owned architecture and led engineers through multi-quarter client deliveries, from first workshop to production
• Consulting mindset: able to speak business and tech with every stakeholder type
• Startup energy: proactive, independent, high-output with attention to quality
• A plus: optimization or scheduling exposure, and industrial domain experience
• A plus: Palantir Foundry knowledge

Ownership matters more than years: one platform carried from first workshop through production and hypercare, with you accountable throughout, beats a decade of handovers. You can run a delivery with clients without close supervision. We're looking for a founder mindset: proactive, fast, and fully accountable.

Location

Remote-first, with optional team gatherings in Switzerland and at client sites.
