Tech Program Manager

JOB OVERVIEW

Plan A Technologies is looking for a motivated and highly organized Technical Program Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a proven track record of managing cross-functional programs.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing contractor engineering teams, tracking progress, and owning day-to-day execution through Jira. You are skilled at cross-team coordination, agile project management, and translating complex technical details into clear, actionable plans. You will provide critical TPM support across two of our major, high-priority company programs.

Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager to be considered for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Program Execution: Drive the successful planning, execution, and delivery of technical initiatives, keeping timelines aligned and transparent.
• Contractor Engineering Management: Directly manage and coordinate day-to-day tasks for contractor engineering teams, ensuring clear requirements, unblocked workflows, and timely delivery.
• Jira & Agile Operations: Own and maintain Jira boards, handling ticket creation, grooming, sprint planning, and meticulous status tracking. Facilitate agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) as needed.
• Cross-Program Support: Provide dedicated TPM support across two of our primary foundational programs (focusing on identity/access management and core system migrations).
• Stakeholder Communication: Manage stakeholder relationships effectively, communicating project status, risks, and mitigation plans transparently to engineering leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and mitigate technical and scheduling risks, establishing clear path-to-green plans to keep projects on track.

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Technical Program Manager or in a similar technical delivery role, ideally within an enterprise or infrastructure engineering environment.
• Technical Background: Solid technical acumen or equivalent practical experience.
• Agile & Tools Expert: Deep, hands-on expertise in Jira and a strong understanding of agile methodologies.
• Team Coordination: Previous experience managing, tracking, and leading contractor or globally distributed engineering teams.
• Communication: Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical details and high-level project status.
• Must be a proactive, highly organized team player who can adapt quickly to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
