Technical Approver - Engineering for Services (EfS)

Join our team as a Technical Approver - Engineering for Services (EfS) and play a key role in assuring the quality, compliance and technical integrity of engineering deliverables within a highly regulated aerospace environment. You will provide independent technical oversight, support engineering governance activities, and help drive right-first-time delivery across complex programmes. Location: Derby (UK) On-site: Hybrid , As required by business needs Seniority: Senior Engineer / Technical Lead Clearance: Candidates must be willing and eligible to obtain SC clearance. Key Responsibilities Review and approve technical deliverables prior to release. Verify technical data, calculations and engineering methodologies. Ensure verification and validation (V&V) activities are completed in line with defined processes. Confirm acceptance criteria and evidence requirements have been satisfied. Identify and escalate technical risks, quality concerns and delivery issues. Support technical reviews, audits and engineering governance activities. Required Skills Experience within aerospace or another highly regulated engineering environment. Strong understanding of verification and validation (V&V) principles. Experience reviewing and approving engineering documentation and technical outputs. Knowledge of configuration control, engineering governance and quality assurance processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Soft Skills & Collaboration Strong engineering judgement and attention to detail. Ability to challenge technical decisions constructively. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Proactive approach to quality and continuous improvement. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field , or relevant technical military background with equivalent hands-on experience. Desirable Skills Experience within Engineering for Services (EfS), service engineering or MRO environments. Experience supporting delegated approval or signatory processes. Knowledge of airworthiness and safety-critical engineering activities. Exposure to technical assurance, engineering governance or quality management.
