We’re Hiring – Technical Architect (Hybrid in Alexandria, Egypt)

Amr Hafez Architects is seeking a meticulous and technically skilled architect to join our team as a Technical Architect. This role centres around producing working drawings and coordinating execution, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment across teams, consultants, and project partners. You’ll play a vital part in transforming high-end architectural and interior concepts into well-executed realities.

Core Responsibilities:

📌 Produce highly accurate working drawings and technical documentation suitable for site and contractor use

📌 Lead coordination with contractors, suppliers, clients, and field teams to ensure project requirements are fully communicated and understood

📌 Develop detailed architectural drawings, including order-based breakdowns such as tile layouts, material counts, ceiling plans, and related technical deliverables

📌 Review and cross-check all project drawings (architectural, structural, MEP, and design-specific sets like cladding or joinery) to identify inaccuracies, clashes, or incompatibilities

📌 Clearly identify and communicate requirements relevant to design implementation, including detailing needs, supplier inputs, or technical clarifications

📌 Produce and/or assess supplier/shop drawings, ensuring complete clarity on material, composition, dimensioning, and buildability

📌 Monitor progress on site — a crucial responsibility in this role — and ensure that execution aligns with documentation, reporting any deviations and coordinating corrections as needed

Technical Skills:

➤ Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD

➤ Strong capabilities in architectural detailing and general documentation

➤ Ability to interpret and evaluate all related disciplines' drawings — including MEP, structural, and supplier packages

➤ Skilled in producing complete supplier/shop drawings

➤ Photoshop proficiency is important — regularly used for annotations, overlays, and drawing markups

➤ Familiarity with rendering tools (e.g. 3ds Max, Lumion, Twinmotion) is a plus — useful for broader versatility but not a primary requirement in this role

Qualifications & Requirements:

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Architecture

✔ Minimum 2 years of experience in technical documentation and/or project/site coordination is required

✔ Demonstrated ability to produce and review clear, buildable working drawings

✔ Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills

✔ Highly organized, detail-driven, and dependable

✔ Excellent command of English and Arabic

✔ Proven ability to handle coordination and anticipate practical needs of construction and fabrication phases
