About Quorum

Founded in 2004, Quorum is an award-winning team of industry-leading professionals who deliver world class solutions and services that provide businesses modern and secure Microsoft Cloud Solutions. We have a diverse set of skills and capabilities across Azure, Cyber Security, Modern Work and Managed Services that enables us to leverage leading cloud technologies to create transformational change for our clients.

We are proud to hold 3 Microsoft Solutions Partner designations across Infrastructure, Modern Work and Security, with 7 Specialisations. As the winner of the prestigious Microsoft ANZ 2024 Security Partner of the Year Award, and as one of the very few MSSP's in the ANZ market accepted into the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) we apply expert skills to help our clients access the best of Microsoft’s suite of capabilities.

The Role

We have an opportunity for a Technical Consultant to join our Managed Services Practice at Quorum, based in Perth. Please note that our team and offices are based in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. As a Perth-based team member, you will predominantly work remotely from Perth, with customer commitments in Perth and occasional travel to Sydney.

As a Technical Consultant – Managed Services, you will play a key role in the delivery and ongoing support of IT solutions to our Managed Services clients. You will be responsible for owning the technical relationship with your assigned clients - providing consulting, technical account management, and handling complex incidents, issues, changes, professional services initiatives & projects.

Technical Consultants are responsible for onboarding and auditing new managed clients, preparing and delivering monthly reporting, and ensuring environments are secure, stable, and aligned with best practice, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve reliability and performance. You will also act as a mentor and senior escalation point for junior members of the Managed Services team, and ensure SLAs and customer satisfaction targets are consistently met.

Reporting to the Technical Team Lead, the scope of this role extends beyond technical expertise. Our Technical Consultants are expected to produce high-quality documentation, effectively manage competing priorities across tickets and projects, and make sound decisions based on business impact. An exceptional customer focus is essential to ensure our clients’ satisfaction is consistently exceeded.

What are we looking for

We’re looking for an individual with strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a focus on delivering exceptional client outcomes. You will have solid hands-on experience across Microsoft-based infrastructure and be confident owning the technical relationship with your assigned clients. This role suits someone who is dependable, solutions-focused, and comfortable working across varied environments.

At Quorum, we place a great deal of value on Emotional Intelligence, and your soft skills will play a large part in your success within the role. You’ll be a clear communicator, naturally curious, process-driven, and detail-oriented. You’ll be capable of translating technical information into meaningful insights for a range of audiences.

As a mentor and subject matter expert, you’ll support the Service Desk and other team members, providing guidance and knowledge sharing. Our Technical Consultants lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and the strong sense of ethics we are known for at Quorum.

This role suits someone who is adaptable and resilient, balancing multiple clients and priorities while ensuring deadlines, service levels, and expectations are consistently met.

Role Requirements:

This position will be acting as a Technical Account Manager, consulting and project implementation resource for our Platform Managed Services customers. Your core technical experience will need to be aligned to the Microsoft stack (M365 and Azure, as well as Networking and traditional infrastructure). It is important that you are confident advising enterprise customers on suitable solutions and implementing the projects yourself from day-1 (this is not a support role).

  • Experience & Expertise – Minimum 5 years’ experience implementing and supporting ICT systems, hardware, and software. Managed Services experience is essential, along with a broad understanding of system requirements and strong end user device support, including lifecycle management. Comfortable managing multiple client environments while balancing project work and day-to-day technical support.
  • Technical Proficiency – Solid hands-on experience across Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server and Workstation, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online), and Exchange Server. Experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS) is essential, but we don't need a cloud expert from day-1 if you have the on-prem / general infrastructure experience as a base to work off. Familiar with backup tools such as Azure Backup, StorageCraft, and Veeam, as well as virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMware) and remote access technologies like Remote Desktop Services and Citrix XenApp.
  • Network Infrastructure – Confident working across core network infrastructure including WAN, LAN, wireless, remote access, and basic cyber security. Able to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve network stability in a variety of client environments.
  • Project Delivery & Implementation – Experienced in delivering end-to-end technical solutions for managed clients – from planning and implementation through to documentation. Organised, reliable, and capable of managing competing priorities across multiple engagements.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement – Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to break down technical concepts clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences. Comfortable in client-facing discussions, presentations, and internal collaboration.
  • Adaptability & Problem-Solving – Work well under pressure and adapt quickly when priorities shift. Proactive in identifying risks, resolving issues, and finding practical solutions that keep things moving.
  • Integrity & Professionalism – A strong sense of ethics and accountability. Committed to continuous learning, and doing the right thing - always
