Job title: Technical Designer Type of employment: Full-time Shift Schedule: Flexible schedule with a required 2–4 hour daily overlap with the U.S. team. During the first month of onboarding, greater schedule overlap is expected to support training and collaboration. We're looking for someone who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring technical documentation, artwork, and product specifications are accurate and production-ready. Someone who can work closely with factories and internal teams to translate creative concepts into clear technical requirements and quality products. About the Employer: The company is a consumer products company involved in product design and development for retail markets. The Technical Designer will support the development of accessories and related products by combining creative design skills with technical documentation, factory coordination, and quality control. Objectives of this role: Create accurate, comprehensive, and factory-ready accessory tech packs. Develop accessory, graphic, and package designs that meet product requirements. Coordinate with factories on quality control, samples, specifications, and revisions. Conduct trend research to inform new product and accessory development. Maintain organized design documentation while managing multiple projects and deadlines. Responsibilities: Accessory Tech Pack Creation Create detailed accessory tech packs for factories. Translate design concepts into clear technical specifications and production documentation. Document measurements, materials, artwork, construction details, and other relevant specifications. Update tech packs based on factory feedback, revisions, and approved changes. Maintain organized technical files and documentation. Accessory Design Develop accessory designs based on product requirements, brand direction, and market trends. Create illustrations and design concepts using Adobe Illustrator. Prepare production-ready artwork and supporting design files. Communicate design intent and technical requirements to factories. Graphic & Package Design Create graphics and artwork for accessories and packaging. Develop artwork using Adobe Illustrator and other Adobe Creative Suite applications. Support package design and ensure artwork is properly prepared for production. Use Canva and Adobe Firefly where appropriate to support creative development. Factory Coordination & Quality Control Coordinate with factories regarding specifications, artwork, samples, and quality requirements. Review factory submissions and identify discrepancies or required corrections. Support quality control processes and communicate issues clearly to factories. Follow up to ensure revisions and quality requirements are completed. Trend Research Research current accessory, packaging, graphic, fashion, and consumer product trends. Identify relevant styles, colors, graphics, materials, and product opportunities. Share trend insights that can support product development and design decisions. Project & Administrative Support Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Maintain organized design files, tech packs, artwork, and project documentation. Quickly switch between creative, technical, and administrative priorities. Communicate project status, issues, and follow-up requirements to relevant stakeholders. Required skills and qualifications: Proven experience as a Technical Designer or in a closely related product development role. Industry experience in accessories, consumer products, fashion, packaging, or a related field. Strong proficiency with Adobe Illustrator. Strong graphic design and package design skills. Excellent tech pack creation skills. Experience preparing production-ready artwork and technical documentation. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and switch between priorities quickly. Strong communication and factory coordination skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Preferred skills and qualifications: Experience with accessory design and development. Experience coordinating quality control with factories. Experience working directly with manufacturers or suppliers. Experience with Adobe Firefly or other AI-assisted design tools. Experience with Canva. Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Microsoft Suite. Experience conducting trend research for consumer products, accessories, fashion, or retail. Strong understanding of packaging artwork and production requirements.
