🚀 Technical Lead (TypeScript & Python)

We’re looking for a Technical Lead to take ownership of the transition from an early-stage platform to a robust, production-ready environment.

You’ll be a key technical decision-maker, driving the backend architecture, production readiness, AI workload, and engineering standards while working closely with the domain team.

🛠️ What you’ll do

• Lead the transition to a robust production platform, owning the architecture and key technical decisions.
• Make the final backend technology decision across TypeScript and Python, and drive its implementation.
• Build production infrastructure from the ground up, including CI/CD, staging environments, PostgreSQL, deployments and cloud infrastructure.
• Own the generation platform, including prompt discipline, provider abstraction and cost management.
• Lead the technical approach to AI/LLM workloads, ensuring reliability, scalability and maintainability.
• Establish rigorous standards for AI-assisted development, engineering practices and code reviews.
• Partner closely with the domain team, bringing strong technical judgement, critical thinking and pragmatic decision-making.

🎯 What we’re looking for

• 8+ years of experience building and shipping web services.
• 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams or acting as a technical lead.
• Strong production experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL.
• Python and FastAPI experience is a strong plus.
• Proven experience shipping LLM-powered features, including structured outputs, retries and schema validation.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments from scratch.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking and technical decision-making skills.
• Experience with eLearning platforms is a big plus.
