Job Title: Senior Technical Product Manager – Automotive F&I Platform Job Description This Senior Technical Product Manager role sits at the center of rebuilding the Finance & Insurance (F&I) experience for automotive retail. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for an AI-native platform that powers digital retailing, desking, F&I, and e-signature workflows for dealerships processing billions of dollars in vehicle transactions each year. The role focuses on creating a single, intelligent workflow that spans lender matching and submission, smart F&I menu presentation, and contract management that protects every deal from first signature through lender funding. You will bridge market strategy and sprint execution, ensuring clean, compliant, and profitable contracts that strengthen dealer cash flow, trust, and long-term relationships. Responsibilities Own the full product lifecycle for lending, F&I menu, and contract management capabilities, from product vision and strategy through delivery, iteration, and ongoing optimization. Define a clear product vision and build evidence-based roadmaps that align market needs, dealer outcomes, and platform strategy, while prioritizing competing opportunities across lending, menu, and contract workflows. Lead a dedicated squad in a PMT + Tech Lead + TPM triad, driving alignment across product, engineering, and technical program management to deliver high-impact features on schedule. Design and enhance product surfaces spanning lender matching, credit decisioning, F&I menu presentation, contract generation, and the full deal jacket lifecycle from first signature through lender funding. Collaborate closely with lenders, aftermarket product providers, eSignature vendors, document partners, and lender funding partners to support submission specifications, decisioning flows, invoice reconciliation, and signing integrations. Translate complex F&I workflows used by dealers and F&I directors into intuitive, efficient, and compliant digital experiences that improve profitability, trust, and operational efficiency. Build and ship production-grade AI-powered features and agent workflows that go beyond demos, delivering measurable outcomes in lender matching, menu optimization, and credit decisioning. Engage deeply with technical teams on API integrations, data models, document workflow systems, event-driven architectures, and system architecture discussions to ensure scalable, reliable solutions. Author clear PRDs, technical trade-off analyses, and strategy narratives that guide engineering execution and communicate product direction to executives and dealership stakeholders. Translate regulatory and compliance requirements across TILA, ECOA, state-level disclosure rules, and consumer-facing AI regulations into enforceable product rules and guardrails. Maintain audit readiness by designing product features and workflows that support documentation, traceability, and compliance validation throughout the deal lifecycle. Define and optimize lender matching agents that evaluate deal structure, credit profile, and lender appetite in real time to surface the best submission path for every deal. Shape menu optimization agents that recommend the right F&I products for each buyer based on deal structure, vehicle details, and historical performance data. Co-deliver AI-powered credit decisioning features that reduce submission errors, improve lender approval rates, and streamline funding timelines. Design prompts and retrieval strategies for AI agents that validate compliance across TILA, ECOA, and state-level disclosure requirements before deal submission. Model token consumption and cost-per-transaction trade-offs when selecting AI architectures for lender matching and F&I menu recommendation to balance performance and cost. Use AI tools daily for PRD drafting, lender analysis, dealer research synthesis, and creation of executive-level narratives that support strategic decisions. Champion a dealership-obsessed mindset by measuring success through dealer wins and buyer trust, ensuring new features directly help dealers sell cars and protect their profitability. Practice relentless ownership by driving outcomes from start to finish, proactively identifying issues, and delivering solutions rather than excuses. Invent with purpose by grounding new initiatives in intelligence and data, avoiding unnecessary complexity or “shiny” technology that does not serve clear business goals. Promote and embody a culture that values diverse perspectives, encourages collaboration, and leverages different viewpoints to make better product decisions. Embrace continuous learning and evolution, sharing lessons learned openly and using insights to refine product strategy and execution. Bias toward action by launching features at viable stages, gathering data quickly, and iterating based on real-world feedback from dealers and F&I teams. Essential Skills At least 5 years of experience owning the full product lifecycle, with demonstrated ability to connect market strategy to sprint-level execution. Proven track record in defining product vision, building evidence-based roadmaps, and prioritizing competing opportunities across complex product domains. Minimum 5 years of experience working with or for automotive retail dealerships, with deep understanding of F&I workflows, menu presentation, lender submission, deal jacket management, document compliance, eSignature workflows, and lender funding processes. Hands-on experience building and shipping production AI-powered features or agent workflows that have progressed beyond the demo stage and delivered measurable business outcomes. Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including tool-use patterns, prompt design, retrieval design, and trade-offs in AI/ML systems or agent architectures. Strong technical depth and comfort working with API integrations, data models, document workflow systems, event-driven architectures, and system architecture discussions. Advanced proficiency with Jira, including Epic and user story authoring, sprint planning, and backlog refinement for cross-functional teams. Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks governing automotive F&I transactions, including TILA, ECOA, and state-level disclosure requirements. Knowledge of consumer-facing AI regulations such as the Colorado AI Act, CCPA automated decision-making tools (ADMT), and TCPA, with ability to integrate these into product design. Ability to translate complex compliance requirements into enforceable product rules, workflows, and guardrails that support audit readiness. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear PRDs, technical trade-off analyses, and strategic narratives for multiple audiences. Ability to explain complex lending, compliance, and AI concepts in compelling, accessible language for dealers, executives, and engineering teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strongly preferred experience with aftermarket vendor management and optimization of F&I product offerings. Hands-on experience managing eSignature, document, or lender funding partner relationships in a product capacity. Experience in automotive industry product management, particularly in digital retailing, desking, and F&I systems, is highly beneficial. Comfort using AI tools as part of daily workflow for documentation, analysis, research synthesis, and communication. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a triad model of Product Manager, Tech Lead, and Technical Program Manager. Background in designing or reviewing system and solution architectures for complex, integrated platforms. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to model costs, performance, and trade-offs in AI and data-intensive systems. Commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in a rapidly evolving regulatory and technological landscape.
