Role: Technical Product Owner, Oracle EBS Duration: Long Term Location: Irving, TX- Hybrid Job Summary The Technical Product Owner (TPO) is responsible for supporting and enhancing systems built on Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), with a primary focus on deep technical analysis, troubleshooting, feature testing, and translation of system behavior into actionable product requirements . This role requires an individual who is already proficient in Oracle EBS internals — including data structures, transaction flows, application logic, and customization frameworks — and can independently diagnose issues by working directly within the database and application layers. The TPO will leverage strong SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle function knowledge to perform root cause analysis and convert findings into well-defined product deliverables. The ideal candidate will also have a background in developing and executing test cases, particularly involving Oracle APIs. This position serves as a critical bridge between business operations and engineering, ensuring that issues are understood at the data and logic level and are translated into clear, executable work. Primary Responsibilities Own and manage backlog items related to Oracle EBS-driven systems and integrations Conduct independent, deep-dive troubleshooting by: Writing and executing complex SQL queries against Oracle EBS (including extensive custom table structures) Tracing transaction lifecycles across multiple modules and integrations Perform root cause analysis directly from EBS data, logic, and execution paths , without reliance on engineering teams for initial diagnosis Read and interpret: PL/SQL stored procedures, packages, triggers, and Oracle functions Oracle EBS application logic and customization layers JSON requests and responses for integrations and business events Translate findings into: Well-defined user stories, defect tickets, and enhancement requests Clear acceptance criteria based on actual system behavior Engage in QA testing by: Developing clearly documented test cases Generating test data Executing test cases Documenting findings Troubleshooting defects Providing feedback to engineers and/or integration partners Partner with engineering teams to validate solutions and ensure alignment with system constraints Reconcile differences between business expectations and actual EBS system behavior Trace and validate end-to-end transaction flows across EBS and integrated systems Support testing and validation by confirming that fixes resolve underlying data and logic issues Technical Responsibilities Use SQL as a primary tool to: Diagnose production issues Validate data integrity Reconcile discrepancies across systems Analyze and interpret: PL/SQL code, Oracle functions, and EBS backend processing logic Demonstrate deep familiarity with: Oracle EBS base tables, relationships, and transaction models Custom extensions and client-specific configurations Understand how Oracle functions and application logic are customized within EBS environments Play a lead role in functional feature, enhancement, integration, and bugfix QA, including working with warehouse operators to validate functionality post-deployment. Navigate multiple EBS environments (Model, Pre-Prod, Prod) to identify inconsistencies and root causes Use database-level and application-level analysis as the primary mechanisms for understanding system behavior Functional / Domain Responsibilities Possess strong working knowledge of Oracle EBS functionality “under the hood” , including: Order management Inventory and fulfillment processing Transaction lifecycle and state transitions Understand how: Transactions are created, updated, and persisted within EBS Upstream and downstream systems interact with EBS processing logic Identify: Data anomalies Configuration gaps Breakdown points in system workflows Required Qualifications 5–8 years of experience in one or more of the following: Oracle EBS Technical Analyst Business Systems Analyst (EBS-focused) Technical Product Owner supporting Oracle EBS Strong, hands-on SQL expertise in Oracle Must be comfortable writing complex queries for troubleshooting production issues Proven experience reading and interpreting: PL/SQL stored procedures, packages, triggers, and Oracle functions Demonstrated experience working with: Core Oracle EBS data structures, transaction flows, and backend processing logic Practical experience with: Customization of Oracle functions and EBS application behavior Proven ability to: Perform independent root cause analysis using data and system logic Translate technical findings into actionable product requirements Preferred Qualifications Experience working in heavily customized Oracle EBS environments Familiarity with: Oracle APEX or mobile vs. desktop form behavior within EBS ecosystems Differences in how users interact with EBS across UI frameworks Experience in: Supply chain, order management, inventory, or fulfillment modules Familiarity with: Integration patterns between EBS and external systems (APIs, event-driven platforms) All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
