Technical QA Lead

Technical QA Lead Ready to lead the future of software testing? InnoWave is looking for a hands-on, technically deep Technical QA Lead to own our quality engineering practice company-wide. You'll shape how we test in the age of AI agents, agentic testing with Playwright MCP, risk-based testing with our own products and accelerators, and quality engineering embedded in every squad. This is a hands-on leadership role with a direct CTO mandate. Technical QA Lead Responsibilities Own test strategy standards by architecture type, automation patterns, quality gates, and the metrics that matter, including escaped defects and change failure rate Drive adoption of agentic AI testing using Playwright and MCP for test generation and self-healing test suites Establish real governance for AI-generated tests, reviewing AI output as code and ensuring humans remain in the loop Own GDPR-compliant test data management practices across the organization Establish SLO-driven performance testing embedded in CI/CD pipelines Turn QA engineers across squads into AI-augmented quality engineers through mentorship, standards, and enablement Support proposals, QA maturity assessments, and engineering-leadership conversations with clients Contribute to process improvements that enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and testing velocity Adapt to changing priorities while leading quality initiatives across multiple squads and clients Skills 8+ years of experience in quality engineering, including 3+ years leading automation teams or a QA practice at scale Deep, hands-on experience with Playwright or an equivalent modern automation framework Strong experience with API/contract testing, CI/CD-native test execution, and flaky-test discipline Demonstrated, shipped experience with AI-driven testing, including LLM-based test generation and MCP automation, along with a clear-eyed view of its failure modes Solid understanding of test data management and performance testing fundamentals Proven ability to lead and scale a practice through other people, not just individual contribution Consulting or client-facing engineering experience is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Fluent in English, both written and spoken InnoWave gives equal opportunity in employment regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, race, nationality, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, or any other factor.
