Join our dynamic Uninsured Loss Recovery team and help businesses recover what they’re owed The role involves working for a host of prestigious corporate clients to supervise small track litigation across a portfolio of motor and property claims. You’ll be working alongside our Partner and senior team to oversee litigation conduct, strategy and implementation of best practise. Meet Ian who heads up the team - he is looking forward to working with you! Key Responsibilities Supervising litigation on a portfolio of uninsured loss recovery cases. Evaluating claims and pro-actively implementing strategy to maximise outcomes. Leading liability investigations by gathering/assessing evidence and establishing negligence. Overseeing liability or quantum negotiations with defendant solicitors or insurers. Drafting or supporting legal proceedings and dealing with all aspects of litigation / compliance within the civil procedure rules. Leading instruction and liaison with counsel and experts. Attending court hearings where necessary. Working with the Partner to identify / implement case handler and office training. To identify handling best practise and implement best practice across the team. Carrying out file reviews and audits. Maintaining client relationships e.g. informing them on the progress of a claim, providing advice and participation in claims. Attending client review meetings where appropriate. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Experience in motor and/or property damage claims handling. Experience in managing a caseload and using a case management system. Background in supporting or mentoring others. Confidence with IT systems to include Microsoft Word and Excel. Key competencies you will need: The ability to prioritise and deliver high standards of work, sometimes under tight time constraints, whilst maintaining accuracy. Good attention to detail. Strong organisational skills whilst maintaining team processes and procedures. A pro-active approach in documenting and handling tasks / cases. The ability to cope and respond to sudden client demands Good communication skills and an ability to positively influence others. An analytical, problem-solving approach.
