Our client in Seattle, WA is currently hiring for a Technology Designer (Telecom/Security Designer). This position offers a fully remote work environment anywhere within the United States, with the option to relocate to Seattle, WA. Occasional travel to client sites may be required. This position requires extensive experience within telecommunications and security design, including Revit proficiency and experience managing complex engineering projects across multiple building types. Pay - $100,000 - $200,000/year (Depending on years of experience, certifications, project experience, software proficiency, leadership experience, and relevant job titles) Location - Remote within the United States (Seattle, WA optional) Schedule - Standard Monday - Friday (40 hours per week) (Responsibilities) • Oversee and manage the complete lifecycle of telecommunications and security engineering projects from planning through implementation • Collaborate with clients to define project requirements, scope, and strategic design solutions • Lead the design of telecom systems including WAN/LAN networks, structured cabling, wireless systems, broadband infrastructure, and building technology systems • Lead the design of security systems including access control, surveillance, intrusion detection, emergency communications, and command center technologies • Manage client relationships across enterprise, public sector, and government accounts • Review and contribute to RFQ and RFP responses, technical proposals, and marketing initiatives • Manage project teams, schedules, deliverables, workload forecasting, and resource planning • Monitor project financial performance, billing reviews, invoicing, and accounts receivable • Prepare specifications, cost opinions, and project documentation utilizing Revit, CAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, and Excel • Serve as a technical subject matter expert and mentor to internal engineering teams (Qualification Requirements) • 10+ years of experience within the telecommunications and/or security industry • 5+ years of experience within the construction industry (plan-specification or design-build environments) • 5+ years of direct client-facing consulting or construction experience • Strong proficiency utilizing Revit in telecommunications and security projects • Thorough understanding of construction delivery methods including design-build, design-bid-build, and negotiated contracts • Experience managing internal and external engineering teams • Experience developing scopes of work, reviewing deliverables, and maintaining project standards • Experience delivering professional presentations and communicating with executive-level stakeholders • Experience within at least two project types including education, retail, commercial TI, data centers, or mission-critical facilities • RCDD Certification (Telecom candidates) and/or PSP Certification (Security candidates) highly preferred • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred but not required (Disqualifiers) • Job hoppy tenure • No Revit experience • No telecommunications or security design experience • No experience managing engineering projects or client relationships • No experience within educational, mission-critical, retail, data center, or commercial project environments • Less than 5 years of relevant industry experience (Employee Value Proposition) • Multi-disciplinary MEP consulting firm with a diverse portfolio of telecommunications and security engineering projects • Fully remote opportunity with flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States • Exposure to educational, retail, commercial, data center, and mission-critical facilities • Opportunity to work with high-profile enterprise and public sector clients • Technical leadership, mentorship, and ownership-growth opportunities within the organization • Benefits include competitive compensation, relocation assistance for Seattle-based employees, professional development opportunities, and long-term career advancement potential Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Seattle, WA.
