Job Description
Your tasks:
► As a Technology Development Engineer, you will develop, optimize, and industrialize manufacturing processes for polymer-based technologies, with a strong focus on material characterization
► Your R&D role involves close collaboration with product and material development teams as the responsible technology developer in the field of chemical technologies
► You support product development, production, and industrialization through polymer material characterization and as a technology developer, problem solver, or project team member
► You define and implement machine requirements, process specifications, and global process rules to improve performance and production quality
► You perform data driven statistical analysis of production parameters and lead/execute processing trials
► You will develop material-specific measurement methods and contribute to the further development of characterization approaches for polymer materials and related manufacturing processes
Qualifications
► BSc / MSc in an Engineering area or Material Sciences. PhD is an advantage
► Professional experience in technology development or R&D field, experience in polymer technologies or manufacturing technologies is an advantage
► Experience in polymer physics and material characterization methods
► Problem solving skills
► Self-organization and ability to work with autonomy
► Good communication and interaction skills
► Capability to work in international teams
► Data processing and statistical skills and Office tools
► English and or German language skills (written and spoken)
► Willingness to travel occasionally to suppliers or other plants is required
