Job Title: Telemetry Engineer Location: 100% Remote (U.S.) Position Type: Full-time, Direct W2 Salary Range: $100,000–$150,000 Annually Experience Required: 6+ years Sponsorship: U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, and H-1B transfer candidates are encouraged to apply. Job Summary We are seeking a Telemetry Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise observability platforms that provide actionable insights through metrics, logs, traces, and alerting. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with modern observability tools, SRE practices, and monitoring solutions for large-scale cloud environments. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. 5+ years of experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, or Observability. Strong experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry , and Datadog, New Relic, or Splunk . Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java . Experience with distributed tracing, structured logging, Linux, containers, and CI/CD. Strong understanding of SRE principles, SLOs, and incident management . Preferred Qualifications Experience with Thanos, Mimir, Cortex, Loki, or Tempo . Familiarity with eBPF-based observability tools. Experience with observability cost optimization.
