About the role We are looking for a Telephone Triage Nurse to join our team and help us evaluating our patient’s medical needs over the phone, ensuring they are guided to the right level of care. Your role Identify patients’ care requirements, focus on their needs and act on them Nurture a compassionate environment by providing support Resolve or report on patients’ needs or problems Accept telephone calls from patients with varying levels of acuity and types of medical concerns Promote clear and coherent verbal communication following an appropriate line of questioning Assess clients based on the patient’s own evaluation, concerns, and responses to questions. Who you are Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Current, valid state license as a Registered Nurse. Minimum of two years’ experience in triage, either by telephone or in an emergency room setting Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask Compassionate, with good communication skills Fluent in Portuguese and English (written and spoken) Comfortable working under pressure in fast-changing conditions Available to get initial training at our office in Matosinhos, Porto Nice to have: Have experience in telephone triage, telehealth or digital health services; Have experience in clinical quality, audit or continuous-improvement activities.
