Test Automation Lead

Date: 2 Sept 2026 Company: QualityAI Country/Region: GB QA Lead (Automation) Location: UK (Remote) Job Type: Permanent Key Responsibilities Lead QA and automation initiatives across Agile teams. Partner with Product Owners, Developers, and Scrum teams to define QA strategy and roadmap. Drive automation framework development, standards, and best practices. Prioritize QA activities, remove blockers, provide status updates, and maintain QA documentation. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. Mentor QA team members and provide automation leadership. Required Skills Strong Quality Engineering and Test Automation background. Hands-on experience with Playwright + TypeScript (preferred), Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools. Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks. Hands-on experience with keyword-driven, data-driven, hybrid, and BDD frameworks . Experience integrating automation suites with CI/CD pipelines. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. Proven ability to work independently and lead automation teams. Interview Requirement Candidates should have VS Code, Node.js, and Playwright installed and configured on their laptop and be able to write and execute automation code during interview rounds. Note: Strong preference for candidates with Playwright experience. Candidates with other automation tool expertise must be willing to learn Playwright.
