Test Engineer

The Test & Measurement (T&M) Test Engineering team designs, assembles and validates test solutions to be used in T&M Manufacturing facilities to test T&M products at various stages of their assembly process. We are seeking a Test Engineering intern who will work with our Test Engineers to assist with the design of these automated test systems. IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE: Designing or revising custom printed circuit boards to be used in a test fixture Developing production test code for the next generation of NI products Qualifying instruments for use in a Test application to be deployed to Manufacturing Analyzing production test data to look for trends which indicate the health of the product and/or test solution WHO YOU ARE: You stay on top of new communications technologies. You partner with others to get work done. You persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks. FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED: BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART: Prior Emerson Intern/Co-op Experience Strong candidates will have an understanding of the following concepts and principles: High-level programming languages (e.g. LabVIEW, TestStand, Python) Analog signal considerations Sources of measurement error Appropriate selection of instrumentation Statistical analysis of data Integration of hardware and software Hands-on experience with electronic hardware Experience with high frequency circuit design, RF and wireless communication is highly desirable Our Culture & Commitment to You: At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
