Job Description Test Manager £70,000 - £75,000 | Permanent | Consulting | Financial Services I'm supporting a growing software testing consultancy that's looking to appoint an experienced Test Manager to join their team. This is a client-facing consulting role where you'll work across a variety of complex projects and programmes, helping clients improve the way testing is planned, governed and delivered. Rather than inheriting an established test function, you'll often be joining new client engagements, quickly understanding the challenges, building credibility with stakeholders and becoming a trusted advisor from day one. The initial requirement will require you to visit the client offices in the Staffordshire area, 2/3 times a week for the initial period. While this is a remote-first role, it is anticipated there will be some requirements to travel to customer offices. What you'll be doing You'll take ownership of testing across client programmes, helping ensure quality is considered throughout the delivery lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include: Developing Test Strategies and Test Plans Establishing testing governance and quality gates Managing testing across multiple projects (with the initial requirement with a specific customer) Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and delivery teams Managing risks, issues, dependencies and defects Providing clear reporting to senior stakeholders Line managing teams of Quality Engineers and SDETs Coaching teams and promoting best practice across Quality Engineering You'll report directly into the Head of Testing , joining an experienced team of Test Managers who work collaboratively across the consultancy. What we're looking for You'll already have a strong background in Test Management and be comfortable working directly with clients. We're particularly interested in people who have experience of: Leading testing across complex programmes Developing Test Strategy and governance Managing multiple workstreams simultaneously Stakeholder management at all levels Resource planning and team leadership Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery environments Why this role and why this company?
