Schedule: Varied; see scope of work description, part-time Reports to: Elementary Assistant Principal Bridges seeks to hire a Testing Coordinator to support our school program. The Elementary School Testing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of standardized testing and assessment activities for students in grades 3-5. This includes organizing test administration schedules, coordinating test preparation materials, staff training and preparation and ensuring compliance with testing regulations and guidelines. The Testing Coordinator will work closely with teachers, administrators, and testing agencies to ensure a smooth and successful testing process. The individual will report directly to the Assistant Principal who serves as the LEA Testing Manager. The individual will be responsible for coordinating the Alternative Assessments in addition to the DC CAPE Assessment. Develop and maintain a comprehensive testing schedule for all standardized tests and assessments. Coordinate the distribution and collection of test materials, including coordinating with teachers for distribution and collection. Train and support teachers and staff in administering tests and following testing procedures. Ensure testing facilities meet all necessary state requirements and are conducive to a proper testing environment. Communicate with parents and students regarding testing schedules, procedures, and results. Collaborate with administrators to analyze testing data and develop strategies for improvement. Stay current on testing regulations, guidelines, and best practices. Coordinate accommodations for students with special needs during testing. Maintain accurate records of testing activities and results. Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to testing data. Maintain a relationship with OSSE to ensure all deadlines are met and policies and procedures are followed. PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES When working on-site, work is between 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Regularly attends work and adheres to all attendance policies. Be on time for duties, team meetings and professional development activities. Reading provided school information and adhering to all deadlines. Respond to all emails within 24 hours or the next business day. Other professional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will: Bachelor’s degree in education, educational administration, or related field. Previous experience in education, preferably in a testing or assessment role. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and regulations. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with teachers, administrators, students, and parents. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Have a passion for urban public schools. Adhere to a high level of professional and ethical standards. Scope of work DC CAPE and MSAA Testing Coordinator hours September / October - Testing meetings. Work is online or at OSSE: 4 hours. November - December - OSSE training meetings. Work is online or at OSSE: 12 hours. January - Attend OSSE meetings, take assessments, learn programs. Work is online or at OSSE: 10 hours. February - Attend OSSE meetings, submit documentation as needed by deadlines, train teachers, create testing schedule(s) for school MSAA and DC CAPE. Work is online or at OSSE: 40 hours. March - Attend OSSE meetings, submit documentation, train teachers, create testing schedule (s) for school MSAA and DC CAPE, create testing schedule(s) for school MSAA and DC CAPE, MSAA test administration (last 2 weeks of March). Work is 32 hours per week in the building: 128 hours. April - DC CAPE begins (5 week period). Work is 32 hours per week in building: 100 hours. May - DC CAPE Test administration. Part Time to close out. Work is 32 hours per week in the building: 160 hours. Anticipated work hours total is: 450 hours. SALARY & BENEFITS This position pays an hourly rate of $27.00 per hour. In addition to your salary, which is paid on a bi-weekly schedule, you are eligible for the following: DC Sick Leave: You will receive 1 hour of DC Sick time for every 37 hours worked. This position is not eligible for Bridges benefits. To ensure safety for all students, all staff members will be fingerprinted.
