Role Description The Thought Leader Relations Manager is a full-time, remote role focused on identifying, engaging, and nurturing relationships with influential creators, community leaders, academics, and partners across key domains. In this role, the manager will research relevant thought leaders, conduct outreach, and coordinate conversations to introduce DonateOpen’s mission, technology, and ecosystem opportunities. They will design and execute engagement plans, including onboarding thought leaders to the platform, supporting their community-building efforts, and gathering feedback to inform product and strategy. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining a relationship pipeline, collaborating with product, marketing, and data teams, preparing tailored materials and narratives, and tracking impact of thought leader involvement on platform growth and reputation. The manager will also represent DonateOpen at virtual events, facilitate partnerships and nominations, and contribute to building a trusted network that strengthens the platform’s quality rankings.

Qualifications

• Relationship and stakeholder management: experience building trust with creators, academics, community leaders, and partners; strong networking and collaboration skills.
• Strategic communication and storytelling: ability to translate complex ideas into clear narratives; skilled in presentations, written communication, and audience-specific messaging.
• Community and ecosystem development: background in community management, influencer relations, advocacy, or ecosystem-building within digital platforms or creator economies.
• Research and analytical skills: ability to identify relevant thought leaders, assess fit and influence, and use data to evaluate engagement outcomes and refine strategies.
• Digital and platform fluency: familiarity with online creator platforms, reputation systems, or Web3/social impact tools; comfort working with remote collaboration tools and CRMs.
• Professional experience and education: several years of experience in partnerships, community, marketing, or related fields; a bachelor’s degree in communications, business, social sciences, or a related discipline is beneficial.
