Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Title Examiner. Candidates should have experience in Full search and Commitment report. Title Examiner will review property records, deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, and other legal documents to determine the status of title and identify potential issues or encumbrances. The role involves preparing clear and accurate title reports, summarizing findings, and ensuring all documentation complies with company standards and applicable regulations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting online and database searches, verifying chain of title, resolving minor discrepancies, and collaborating with title officers, underwriters, and closing teams as needed. The Title Examiner will also communicate findings to internal stakeholders, maintain organized records, and use title and mortgage technology platforms to support efficient and consistent workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong title examination skills, including reviewing deeds, mortgages, liens, and other property records, with the ability to identify and clearly document title defects or issues.
• Solid understanding of real estate, mortgage processes, and basic property law concepts, including chain of title, encumbrances, and legal descriptions.
• Proficiency with title production software, public record databases, and common office tools (e.g., MS Office, document management systems).
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities for reviewing complex documentation and reconciling discrepancies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing concise title reports and collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and handle multiple files or deadlines simultaneously.
• Prior experience in title examination, title research, or related roles in the title or mortgage industry is highly beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree.
