About The Job

We have an exciting opportunity for a Tournament Organiser to join our Global Events team and help bring Warhammer to life in front of thousands of people across Japan. If you are someone who is passionate about helping us recruit new hobbyists whilst keeping our existing community engaged, then this could be the perfect role for you!

As the Tournament Organiser, you’ll collaborate closely with the Head of Japan, Event Manager, Senior Organised Play Manager and the Global Events team, to organise and support the delivery of recruitment, retention and competition activities that brilliantly showcase the Warhammer hobby to new and existing customers. You’ll play a key part in executing the Global Events Strategy by creating and running tournaments, paint competitions and walk-up-and-play activities at major Warhammer events. From Grand Tournaments to Warhammer Opens, you’ll ensure every event is delivered to the highest standard to delight our passionate fanbase.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the planning and execution of over 12 in person events throughout the year, ensuring that everything from materials to event timelines are executed with precision and enthusiasm. We are looking for someone who thrives in environments that demand resilience, decisiveness and the courage to hold firm under pressure to ensure everything runs smoothly, no matter what obstacles come their way.

As the Tournament Organiser, you’ll have the opportunity to lead by example, by inspiring and guiding both full and part-time event staff through each stage of planning and execution. With integrity at the core of everything you do, you’ll foster an open environment where collaboration thrives. Your thoughtful approach to every detail will help create experiences that leave a lasting positive impact on all those involved.

The ideal person will have demonstrable experience in event management or organising tournaments, be skilled at identifying areas for improvement and ensure we maintain the highest standard in all aspects of our operations.

If you are passionate about acting as an industry advocate to help strengthen Games Workshop’s leadership, while ensuring that all events champion quality, inclusivity and community-driven engagement, then we want to hear from you!

Working at Games Workshop

At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is even more important than your skills and experience.
