What You’ll Do as a Trainee Product Technologist We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities: Support product development activities by building knowledge of fit, sealing routes, GPSR requirements, garment construction, grading, sizing, and risk assessment processes. Assist with fit sessions, product reviews, testing approvals, and compliance activities, developing an understanding of product testing standards, claims, and quality requirements. Build knowledge of fibres, fabrics, materials, sustainability initiatives, manufacturing processes, and factory operations to support informed product decisions. Develop strong supplier communication and relationship management skills while gaining experience with Primark quality systems and operational processes. Support departmental objectives through effective workload management, administrative support, KPI delivery, standardisation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. Communicate effectively with Buying teams, suppliers, and key stakeholders, gathering relevant information, solving problems, supporting quality-focused decision-making, and representing Quality Assurance in department meetings.
