Job Description The Training Specialist will focus on the coordination, implementation, and delivery of training and development programs that support enrollment and advising staff. This role will partner with business stakeholders to support learning initiatives from planning through implementation, including coordinating workshops, organizing resources, facilitating training, and supporting learning program execution. The individual will provide ongoing support for both new and existing colleagues while helping ensure training initiatives are delivered effectively and aligned with business objectives. Working closely with project managers, functional groups, quality excellence, business analysts, and technical staff, the Training Specialist will help coordinate project activities, manage training communications, and support successful learning outcomes across multiple initiatives. Plan, coordinate, and facilitate training for new hires and current Enrollment and Student Advising colleagues, including onboarding, workshops, certifications, learning events, development opportunities, and training plans, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. Drive onboarding program planning and implementation, in coordination with project leaders and stakeholders. Lead multiple learning initiatives using established project management tools and processes; track plans, milestones, risks, resources, schedules, scope, and delivery. Develop, update, and maintain learning solutions, training materials, and supporting resources that reflect current policies, procedures, processes, and evolving business needs. Partner with managers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to assess learning needs and align on training and development priorities. Collaborate with leaders on the creation and implementation of policies, procedures, and processes. Work closely with relevant Subject Matter Experts and business leaders to support the successful implementation of training programs. Communicate training requirements, priorities, timelines, progress, and roadblock to functional partners while maintaining effective stakeholder relationships. Evaluate training effectiveness using learner and stakeholder feedback and performance observations; identify, recommend, and implement continuous improvement efforts to ensure learning effectiveness. Support change management and implementation efforts associated with learning and development projects and initiatives. Bachelor's Degree Required 4+ years experience facilitating training, workshops, presentations, or group learning experiences in a professional environment. Experience working with business stakeholders to identify training needs, support implementation efforts, and coordinate learning initiatives. Experience using learning technologies, project management tools, and business systems preferred. Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design practices, and methods for delivering effective in-person and virtual learning experiences. Knowledge of enrollment, student advising, Title IV, and related institutional policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Skill in facilitating engaging training sessions, workshops, presentations, and group learning activities for diverse audiences. Skill in assessing learning needs and translating business requirements, policies, and complex processes into clear learning objectives, content, and practical resources. Skill in developing, organizing, updating, and maintaining accurate training materials, facilitator guides, job aids, and supporting documentation. Strong written, verbal, presentation, active listening, interpersonal, and facilitation skills. Skill in building collaborative relationships with managers, subject matter experts, project leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders. Skill in planning and coordinating multiple learning initiatives, priorities, schedules, milestones, resources, risks, and deliverables. Proficiency with learning technologies, virtual facilitation platforms, project management tools, and standard business applications. Ability to evaluate training effectiveness using learner feedback, stakeholder input, assessments, and performance observations and to recommend improvements. Ability to learn complex processes quickly, manage ambiguity, adapt delivery methods to learner needs, and support change implementation. Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain attention to detail, meet deadlines, and manage sensitive or confidential information appropriately. Demonstrated customer and student focus, with a commitment to responsive service, continuous improvement, accountability, and effective teamwork. In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $66,199.33 and $73,242. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
