Description Key Responsibilities Complete, review, and submit MDS assessments, CAAs, and comprehensive care plans in accordance with CMS RAI guidelines. Manage MDS schedules, ARDs, Medicare assessments, IPA reviews, and Medicaid Case Mix processes. Ensure accurate clinical documentation, ICD coding, and regulatory reporting. Monitor MDS quality measures, validation reports, and compliance metrics; complete corrections as needed. Educate and support nursing and interdisciplinary team members on MDS best practices and documentation standards. Participate in Medicare meetings, Triple Check processes, QAPI initiatives, and quality improvement activities. Identify significant changes in resident condition and coordinate appropriate assessments. Travel to assigned communities to provide onsite support, training, and coverage as needed. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current Iowa RN or LPN license in good standing. Minimum 2 years of long-term care experience . Minimum 2 years of dedicated MDS experience . RAC-CT certification required within one year of hire and maintained thereafter. Strong knowledge of CMS RAI guidelines, Medicare, Medicaid, and long-term care regulations. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Ability and willingness to travel regularly and support multiple locations.
