UI/UX Developer (Philippine-Based)

About the Role

We are looking for a UI/UX Developer who can quickly learn an existing codebase and contribute to modernizing and improving the user experience of our web-based business applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Modernize the front-end stack by migrating legacy code, upgrading Bootstrap, and updating dependencies.
• Design and develop responsive, reusable, and user-friendly UI components and pages.
• Improve the UI/UX of existing and client-facing applications.
• Convert existing templates into reusable components and implement new features.
• Follow front-end development, accessibility, security, and coding best practices.
• Conduct testing, debugging, and quality control of front-end deliverables.
• Document front-end architecture, processes, standards, and reusable components.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide regular updates on progress, technical issues, timelines, and potential delays.
• Take ownership of assigned development tasks and deliver projects within agreed deadlines.

Essential Skills

• Holds a Bachelor's degree and has at least 5 years of UI/UX development experience
• Strong UI/UX development experience for web-based business applications.
• Strong JavaScript and modern Web API experience.
• Experience with JavaScript testing tools such as Jest or Cucumber-JS.
• Proficiency in Sass, Bootstrap, Webpack, and Git.
• Experience with Smarty, Mezzio, or PHP microframeworks.
• Experience with JavaScript debugging tools.
• Basic knowledge of PHP and OOP.
• Understanding of front-end security and accessibility best practices.
• Ability to quickly understand and work within an existing codebase.

Employment Details

Work Schedule

• 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Manila Time), or
• 12:00 NN – 9:00 PM (Manila Time), supporting UK business hours.

Work Setup

• Remote for candidates residing outside Pampanga.
• Onsite for candidates based in Pampanga.
• Office location: Angeles City, Pampanga.
• Successful hires are required to report onsite in Pampanga for onboarding and laptop/equipment collection after joining.

Salary Offer: Php100,000 - Php120,000
