Fleet Operations Manager Drive Operational Excellence Across Our UK Fleet This exciting new role can be based across the UK, relating to the company's key site locations We're looking for an experienced Fleet Operations Manager to lead our UK fleet operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of fleet performance, compliance, and continuous improvement while ensuring our vehicles, drivers and transport operations operate safely, efficiently and in full compliance with UK legislation. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all UK fleet and transport operations. Ensure compliance with Operator Licence requirements, DVSA regulations and Traffic Commissioner guidance. Oversee vehicle maintenance, inspections, MOTs, roadworthiness and defect management. Manage fleet performance, utilisation, budgets and operational efficiency. Lead vehicle procurement, replacement programmes and fleet specifications. Implement telematics and digital fleet solutions to improve safety and performance. Monitor Drivers' Hours, tachograph compliance, Driver CPC and licence checks. Manage Transport Managers, suppliers and maintenance providers. Produce fleet performance reports and support audits and regulatory inspections. Drive continuous improvement across fleet operations. What You'll Bring National CPC in Road Haulage Operations. Eligibility to act as a professionally competent Transport Manager. Full UK Driving Licence. Proven experience managing HGV and LCV fleets operating under Standard Operator Licences. Strong knowledge of Operator Licence compliance, transport legislation and fleet maintenance. Experience managing suppliers, vehicle procurement and fleet technology. Excellent leadership, organisational and stakeholder management skills. A proactive approach with a strong focus on safety, compliance and operational excellence. Essential Qualifications National CPC in Road Haulage Operations. Eligible to act as a professionally competent Transport Manager. Full Current UK Driving Licence. Essential Experience Significant experience as a Fleet Manager, Fleet Transport Manager or Transport Operations Manager. Experience managing HGV and LCV fleets operating under Standard Operator's Licences. Demonstrable experience of Operator Licence compliance and transport regulation. Experience managing Transport Managers and transport compliance functions. Experience procuring vehicles and developing operational vehicle specifications. Experience implementing fleet technology, telematics and compliance solutions. Experience managing maintenance providers and supplier contracts.
