Role Description The Ukrainian to English Interpreter is a full-time remote role responsible for providing accurate, confidential, and culturally sensitive interpretation during calls and virtual meetings. Daily tasks include interpreting spoken Ukrainian into English and vice versa in real time, ensuring that meaning, tone, and intent are preserved. The interpreter will support clients across various domains, such as medical, legal, and business, by facilitating clear communication between Ukrainian-speaking and English-speaking parties. Responsibilities also include preparing for assignments by reviewing relevant terminology, adhering to professional and company-specific protocols, and documenting key interaction details when required. The role involves collaborating with team members, participating in periodic training, and maintaining high performance standards in a fast-paced virtual call center environment.
Qualifications

• Strong Ukrainian and English language proficiency, including advanced speaking, listening, and comprehension skills.
• Demonstrated interpretation skills in consecutive and/or simultaneous modes, with the ability to maintain accuracy and neutrality.
• Knowledge of specialized terminology or concepts in at least one domain (e.g., medical, legal, business) or willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication skills, active listening abilities, and cultural awareness to handle sensitive and diverse situations.
• Comfort with remote work tools, virtual call center platforms, and basic IT skills for stable online communication.
• Strong attention to detail, professional conduct, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with ethical standards.
• Ability to manage time effectively, work full time in scheduled shifts, and remain calm under pressure.
• Previous experience as an interpreter, translator, or in a customer-facing role is beneficial.
• Relevant training or certification in interpreting, linguistics, or a related field is an advantage.
