Job Title: Undergraduate Academic Advisor 1 - School of Health and Rehab Sciences Department: Medicine | Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Position Summary Undergraduate Academic Advisor 1 to provide and document one on one advice to undergraduate students regarding degree and program options, academic standards, general education, prerequisite requirements, and major courses for specific degrees. Responsibilities Consults and/or elevates outstanding matters that students may have to staff that are more senior. Advises students’ dealing with academic, probationary, and financial concerns. Reviews and processes add/drop withdrawals and program changes. Acquires information for students, including academic, career, financial, psychological, etc., resources. Assists and participates in student orientation. Prepares packets for orientation sessions and presents orientation materials. Assists with teaching the student survey course. Utilizes established materials with few alterations to convey content effectively. Attends training and grades course assignments. Works on assigned advising projects. Performs administrative tasks to support counseling-related functions assigned by Director, which includes performing other duties as assigned. Identifies opportunities for projects and recommends to management. Engages in professional development, participates in unit and university-level opportunities. Job Requirements Master's Degree. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
