Job Category: Academic Staff Employment Type: Regular Job Profile: Marketing Specialist Job Summary: The Undergraduate Engagement Specialist will work with the Wisconsin School of Business Marketing and Strategic Communications team as the primary strategist of communications to current students within the undergraduate program. This position will collaborate with WSB Undergraduate Program offices to market all programs and services to current admitted, certificate, and pre-business undergraduate students. This person will build and execute communication plans, including writing, editing, and publishing content for a variety of channels to deliver important messages to students and to strengthen the Trusted to Lead brand within the program. This position will manage the undergraduate social media channels, including the @wisconsinbusinessbadgers Instagram channel, inclusive of content planning, content creation, posting, community management, and analytics tracking. The person will oversee the undergraduate social media and design intern and the undergraduate social media ambassadors. Key Job Responsibilities: Collects, analyzes, prepares, summarizes, and disseminates data and trends relevant to ongoing or future marketing activities Develops, implements, and maintains strategic marketing plans based on research and established strategies Develops, implements, and disseminates marketing materials through various communication mediums utilizing appropriate technologies and techniques Department: Wisconsin School of Business, Marketing and Strategic Communications Compensation: The minimum salary for the position is $65,000. Actual starting salary will be based on experience and qualifications. Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of social media management in higher-education Knowledge of the student experience and communication needs of a business school Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience conceptualizing, filming, and editing high-engagement short-form video content tailored for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts (proficiency with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or native platform editing suites preferred). Proficiency with visual design platforms like Canva or Adobe Express. Experience training, scheduling, and supervising student staff, including task delegation, content review, and ongoing mentorship, and collaborating with a cross-functional team p. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage project timelines and deadlines Education: Bachelor’s degree Required; focus in marketing or related field How to Apply: Click the "Apply" button to start the application process.
