US Assurance Associate (KDP)

Your appointment as Assurance Senior Associate shall be on a full time basis. As Assurance Senior Associate you shall perform the following functions: • Learn and complete assurance procedures according to guidelines and firm procedures • Assess compliance by examining, analyzing, and verifying financial accounts, fixed assets and inventories, payrolls or cash accounts, grant program costs, records, reports, operating practices, documentation, and related instruments • Verify information by comparing and analyzing items to documentation • Complete audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings • Communicate audit progress and findings to the project manager • Complete the necessary analysis of accounts for review and compilation engagements. This includes proper completion of checklists and substantive workpapers • Complete the financial reporting for all types of engagements, including financial statements, management letters, governance letters and management representation letters • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing assignments on a timely basis • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and with a team • A self‐starter who is curious and not afraid to ask questions • Efficient with the ability to follow instructions, while maintaining strong attention to detail • Strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills • Above‐average proficiency in Office 365; particularly Word and Excel • Comfortable with learning new technology In addition to the items above, as an Assurance Senior Associate you shall perform the following functions: • Train staff accountants on assurance procedures according to guidelines and firm procedures • Complete complex areas of assurance engagements • Review the assurance work papers of staff accountants and give timely/constructive feedback • Give recommendations to the manager or client service manager on internal control findings, operating efficiencies and areas of improvement for the client • Be responsible for meeting the project budgets • Participate in the internal evaluation of audit personnel, as requested • Communicate with the US assurance personnel on timing of projects and work load capacity. • Ensure utilization for themselves and others within the department • Provide recommendations for the improvement of the assurance process, effective communication, and the client deliverables between the PH and US • Participate in the hiring process of PH assurance personnel Why Choose Sorren?
