Area Director, Implants MIS Role Summary The Area Director, US Implants MIS is a senior commercial leader within the Dentsply Sirona U.S. Implants organization. Reporting to the Vice President, Implants , this role has national responsibility for the U.S. Implants MIS business across key expansion markets in the United States , with a focus on white-space selling, targeted business conversion, and disciplined execution in high-growth opportunities as well as growth in existing markets. The Area Director sets strategy, drives execution, and delivers profitable growth while building a performance-driven, hunter-oriented commercial culture. This leader is accountable for accelerating market share gains, creating new customer demand, converting targeted competitive opportunities, and ensuring a consistent, best-in-class customer experience nationwide. Implants MIS Regional Business Managers report directly into this role. Scope of Responsibility National leadership of the Implants MIS vertical business as an expansion investment across the U.S., with focus on key growth markets and existing markets Direct management and development of Implants MIS Regional Business Managers Accountability for national sales performance, white-space pipeline creation, targeted account conversion, talent development, and strategy execution Partnership with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Service leadership Key Responsibilities Leadership & Talent Build, lead, and retain a high-performing national Implants MIS leadership team with a strong hunter mindset, growth orientation, and ownership culture Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop Regional Business Managers Establish clear performance standards, pipeline expectations, accountability routines, succession planning, and leadership readiness Sales Execution & Coaching Align Implants MIS expansion priorities with Sales, Marketing, and global leadership to focus resources on high-potential markets, white-space accounts, and targeted competitive conversion Drive consistent execution of sales processes, cold-calling expectations, territory activation plans, CRM discipline, and performance routines Coach Regional Business Managers to inspect pipeline quality, reinforce prospecting behaviors, remove execution barriers, and hold teams accountable for measurable growth outcomes Create urgency around new account acquisition, competitive displacement, and conversion of targeted practices through disciplined field execution and leadership follow-up Clinical Education and National Tradeshows/events Collaborate with Education Team to develop CE programs annually, both local and national in scope Drive urgency around CE recruitment Build CE follow up process to maximize ROI on all events Strengthen Implants MIS KOL network and onboard new KOL’s Lead national tradeshow planning, execution and follow up Strategy & Business Planning Develop, execute, and align with Leadership on a national Implants MIS expansion business plan focused on key markets, white-space opportunity, new account acquisition, and targeted business conversion Develop, execute and align with Leadership on a strategy to grow share of wallet opportunities within existing accounts through pipeline creation, management and coaching. Analyze market potential, competitive share, account opportunity, capacity, and performance to set growth targets, budgets, and execution priorities Drive organic growth through prospecting intensity, account expansion, competitive conversion, and adoption of integrated Implants MIS workflows Build and maintain relationships with key customers, and Key Opinion Leaders Culture & Communication Foster a performance-based, values-driven culture across the Implants MIS organization, emphasizing ownership, activity discipline, accountability, and growth-focused execution Communicate strategy, priorities, and expectations clearly and consistently Serve as an executive-level representative of the Implants MIS business with customers, internal partners, and field teams, reinforcing urgency around growth, conversion, and execution excellence Administrative Manage national expense budgets (travel, events, demo equipment) Prioritize communications, approvals, and administrative requirements Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 4+ years, or equivalent 3–5 years of experience leading managers 3–5 years of sales or sales management experience; dental or healthcare preferred Proven experience leading growth-focused sales teams in new market development, white-space selling, competitive conversion, or high-activity prospecting environments Demonstrated financial and strategic business acumen Key Skills & Capabilities Ability to travel up to 70% nationally Strong executive presence and communication skills Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop senior sales leaders Demonstrated ability to build a hunter-oriented sales culture, coach cold-calling and prospecting behaviors, and translate market opportunity into disciplined execution Strong analytical and decision-making skills Strong performance management mindset with the ability to set clear expectations, inspect progress, and hold teams accountable for pipeline creation, conversion, and revenue growth Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft 365 tools The base salary and target annual incentive for this remote role is between $270,000 - $364,000. This role is also eligible to participate in our Long Term Incentive program.
