We are looking for a German speaking US tax specialist (m, f, d) as US Tax Compliance WM Manager Support in reviewing U.S. tax forms and relevant documentation, as well as in preparing FATCA, CRS, and withholding tax reports / Ensuring compliance with FATCA and QI requirements, as well as understanding the entire tax reporting lifecycle and operational processes / Proficiency in data collection, validation, tax controls, and tax forms (e.g., 1042-S/1042, 1099 series, W-8BEN, FATCA/CRS filings) as well as filing processes (Form 196, QI, etc.) / Analysis of complex U.S. tax issues and ensuring that reporting processes are carried out correctly and on time / Advising business departments on relevant matters such as documentation requirements, withholding tax investigations and reporting obligations / Collaboration with external law firms and auditors to clarify tax issues / Further development of tax processes regarding procedures, controls, and workflows for client onboarding, account opening, and client support / Providing support for the automation of manual processes in collaboration with business analysts and IT / Updating tax policies in the systems in response to changes in U.S. tax law / Ad hoc projects. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Tax, Accounting or Law / A tax certification is beneficial / Familiarity of banking processes and core banking systems, including software for tax reporting / Practical experience with the IRS website, as well as knowledge of how to use publications and forms related to tax reporting / In-depth knowledge of US tax legislation and familiarity with all aspects of tax operations / Strong analytical skills combined with a team- and service-oriented approach / Hands-on approach and an interest in working on complex us tax projects / Attention to detail and the ability to assess issues // Structured, independent and precise working style / Strong sense of commitment / IT skills, particularly in the use of banking software and Microsoft Office / German as well as English.
