User Experience Designer

Role Description The User Experience Designer will work part time in a remote capacity, collaborating with product, engineering, and data teams to design intuitive, AI-driven user experiences for Otomica’s platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include applying design thinking to solve complex interaction and workflow challenges, conducting user research to understand behaviors and needs, and translating findings into user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes. The role involves creating visually coherent interfaces, refining interaction patterns, and ensuring accessibility and usability across devices. The User Experience Designer will participate in design reviews, iterate based on feedback and testing, and help maintain design guidelines and component libraries that support a consistent product experience.
Qualifications

• Ability to apply Design Thinking and User Experience (UX) principles to complex, data-rich products.
• Experience with User Research, including planning studies, conducting interviews or usability tests, and synthesizing insights.
• Strong Visual Design skills for creating clean, modern interfaces and aligning with brand guidelines.
• Proficiency in Prototyping using industry-standard tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) to communicate and validate design concepts.
• Understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and accessibility best practices.
• Experience designing for SaaS, B2B, analytics, or AI-driven products is beneficial.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in remote, cross-functional teams and communicate design decisions clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, UX, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
