Job Description: Join Job Duck as a California Trust Administration Paralegal and play a vital role in supporting attorneys and clients through complex trust administration and conservatorship matters. This opportunity is ideal for a legal professional who enjoys managing cases from start to finish, maintaining exceptional organization, and proactively driving progress without constant oversight. You will work closely with attorneys to develop case strategies, prepare legal documents, coordinate court filings, and ensure important deadlines are met. If you thrive in a fast paced legal environment and take pride in moving cases forward efficiently, we encourage you to apply. • Monthly Compensation Range: From 1,400 to 1,700 USD Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Conduct legal research and case analysis related to trust administration, probate, and conservatorship matters • Communicate with clients, experts, courts, and third parties to provide updates and gather information • Monitor deadlines, milestones, and court related requirements • Coordinate and prepare materials for hearings, mediations, and attorney meetings • Maintain electronic and physical case files • Organize, summarize, and maintain case related information • Prepare reports, correspondence, chronologies, and legal summaries • Provide exceptional client service through clear, professional communication • Manage legal calendaring and schedule important deadlines • Manage assigned caseloads and ensure timely progress of all matters • Track and record billable and nonbillable time entries • Handle trust administration, trust management, and conservatorship matters • Collaborate with attorneys and team members to improve case workflows and office procedures • Prepare Judicial Council forms and supporting legal paperwork • Support attorneys in developing and implementing legal strategies • Draft motions, pleadings, petitions, affidavits, declarations, subpoenas, agreements, court orders, and other legal documents • Review California Probate Code, California Rules of Court, and applicable local rules • Perform document review and case assessments • Submit forms, legal filings, and supporting documentation Requirements: • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a paralegal, legal assistant, or legal secretary • Experience working with California Trust Administration processes is required. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of trust administration procedures, trust management matters, and conservatorship cases. • Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Assistant Studies, Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required if the minimum experience is met • Extensive knowledge of California Trust Administration procedures • Experience handling trust administration, probate, and conservatorship matters • Strong case management and legal document preparation skills • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload effectively • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English • Strong legal research and analytical abilities • Client focused mindset with a professional and empathetic approach • Highly organized and detail-oriented work style • Self starter with the ability to work independently • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills • Accountability and commitment to quality work • Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and technologies • Time management and multitasking abilities • Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with attorneys and legal teams • Location and timezone: Remote, Pacific Standard Time (PST) • Working Hours: Monday to Friday • Expected call volume: Light (5 calls per day on average) • Software and Tools Required: - CRM: Clio Manage - VOIP: Dialpad - Other: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PDF Software, Legal Calendaring Software, Judicial Council Forms, Lawya Work Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM [PST][PDT] (United States of America) Languages: English, Spanish Ready to dive in?
