VAC_68_2026 - HR OFFICER Join the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute and contribute to our mission of innovating and advancing the fight against leukaemia and other hematologic diseases. The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC) is a comprehensive cancer research center dedicated to conduct research and drive innovation in the epidemiological, preventive, clinical, translational, and basic aspects of leukaemia and other hematologic malignancies, with the final aim of finding a cure for these diseases. It was created in 2010, and since then has experienced an exponential growth. The IJC is also part of the network of Excellence Research Centers of Catalonia (CERCA) and was accredited as a Severo Ochoa Center of Excellence by the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities in 2024. Since 2018, the Institute has also been accredited by the Scientific Foundation of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (FCAECC) Additionally, IJC is one of the centers integrated into the Institut de Recerca Germans Trias i Pujol (IGTP) accreditation as Accredited Health Research Institute (IIS) by the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII) . The IJC's main headquarters is located within the Can Ruti Biomedical Campus, alongside other leading biomedical institutions, providing direct access to cutting-edge scientific and technological facilities, as well as complementary community services. The IJC has six locations integrated into reference hospitals : Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol, Hospital Clínic, Hospital Sant Pau, Hospital Josep Trueta, Hospital del Mar and Hospital San Joan de Déu. This facilitates close collaboration between basic and clinical researchers, fostering translational research that integrates basic science with clinical practice in clinical settings. The Human Resources Unit is looking for an HR Technician to carry out recruitment activities and provide other support to the HR Unit. The mission of the HR Unit is to support the IJC’s mission by providing high-quality services across the organization. The HR Unit is responsible for all matters related to the employee lifecycle, including recruitment and selection, hiring, training and development, career progression, compensation and benefits, health and safety, onboarding, and leave management. MAIN RESPONSABILITIES Recruitment and selection for the assigned research groups, as well as for positions within the management area: organising, managing, and disseminating job postings; Implementation of HRS4R actions related to recruitment. Conducting interviews as the HR representative on hiring committees. Maintaining our Job Portal and creating recruitment reports. Calculating personnel costs. Ensuring accurate and timely data entry and maintenance across the institute's databases. Collaborating in the onboarding of new staff and providing training when necessary. Supporting to the training and development programmes, including language courses. Providing support for activities included in the IJC Career Service (workshops and individual career guidance sessions). Managing internship/placement agreements and collaborations with other institutions. Participating in other talent management functions related to policy development. WHAT WE NEED University degree in Psychology, Labour Relations, or similar. A postgraduate degree or Master's in Human Resources will be valued. At least 1 year of experience in recruitment tasks and administrative management of human resources. Experience in managing internship/placement agreements. Experience in CERCA Research Centres and/or Universities will be valued. Good command of MS Office, databases, recruitment tools, SAP. Good level of professional competence in Catalan, Spanish and English. SKILLS AND COMPETENCES Ability to work as part of a team, with strong organisational and planning skills. Verbal and written communication skills. Analytical, detection, and supervisory abilities. Solution-oriented and researcher-focused approach. Attention to detail is essential. Commitment to autonomy, responsibility, and flexibility. Ability to manage recruitment software or HR databases. Annual gross salary based on the candidate's experience. The Jose Carreras International Leukaemia Foundation provides start-up funds, project funds as well as financial support for investments.
